Sailing the Ocean Blue...October 6, 2012 Eastern Fantasy

Finally made it home this afternoon after some vehicle issues today. Please add us to the FE and roll call lists. We are myself, Allen, aka BigRed1 and DW, Mary-Margaret, aka M&M64. We are in stateroom 9562. This will be our 8th Disney cruise, all in October. It is a trip may of our friends and family take every year or 2. At the moment, approximately 70 people in 21 staterooms were booked on this cruise during our B2B last week. There are a few disers in the bunch and I'm sure they will join us in time. My 2 cents on the Facebook issue.... I was on a dis thread that had a FB page and it was terribly difficult to keep up with both. Some people will feel ignored or left out because of the slow pace the FB page will have on the dis thread.... just my 2 cents.

BTW TaTa4Now, we have been to Poughkeepsie and Hyde Park visiting the FDR home and the Vanderbilt Mansion. We were there on a fall foliage tour 3 or 4 years ago. Leaf peepers I think the tourist are called that time of year?

It is beautiful when the leaves change. Now that they have constructed the Walkway-Over-The-Hudson (an old railroad bridge converted to a pedestrian walkway near the Mid-Hudson Bridge aka The Franklin Delano Roosevelt Bridge), it attracts a lot more people to the area to see the leaves change.

Yes you can make the facebook page private....My cruise in Sept we had a page not everyone participated but a bunch of us did...to my knowledge no one felt slighted...


I am up for a facebook page and a meet! Atrium area by the staircase is a good idea we meet there on embarkation for a picture!

No it was nothing you said (actually very excited you are going this cruise) and you do not smell like a pirate (well I hope you do not)...LOL...I have been busy with repairing my house with my husband since our flood insurance didn't cover squat from Hurricane Irene.....moving back in soon..Yeah I know it is a year away and I am sooo excited going on this cruise, and I hope I get my husband to drink the "Kool Aid" so we can go on many many more. What do you think about our first meet being at the drink station so the little kiddies and big kiddies can do the AquaDuck slide (or as my DD calls it the Donald Duck slide).

The meets I have been to are usually between the emergency drill and the sail a way party. We could also get together on a sea day and have a group picture made by a ship photographer. That way, people can buy them if they wish. Any thoughts?

I think the time that you mentioned should be good (being my first cruise I am still a little wet behind the ears and I appreciate all the feedback I get). I also think a meet at sea would be good as well, if people cannot make it on embarkation day. I think a group photo would be a lot of fun...since I am getting older and cannot remember diddly squat Oh and BTW what ever it takes to make him either buy more DVC points or purchase another cruise

Same here! Margaritaville @ every stop! No Key West stops for the Fantasy though.....ship is to big.
