Sailing the Ocean Blue...October 6, 2012 Eastern Fantasy

Thanks guys! We ordered a new birth certificate yesterday (the passport office still has his), and DCL said he just needs that & photo ID. We'll continue trying for the passport too, now it's the principal of the thing! Very weird stuff. I know the passport offices are full of nice people, but once you get flagged, (still scratching our heads on that one!) the gloves come off. Hopefully DH can shrug the hassle off & enjoy our cruise in 25 days, 1 hour, 16 minutes and 44 seconds. (Till we board the boat!) :woohoo:

Hi Jen..

We are 10 am also!! See you at brunch!!:goodvibes

Hey, Sue...
We'll be seeing you at the airport even sooner! We (DH, myself and DD9) will be traveling with two sets of friends: a family of five and one of my best friends and her three children. If you notice us causing a commotion, feel free to come over and tell us to simmer down! :thumbsup2

Jen..

Yes that is true!! That will be just Disney excitement!! There will be 5 plus my grandson Tyler minus the curley hair! he had a haircut! So you see a 16 month old with a young couple and some grandparent looking people that will be us LOL.....

Sue

:yay::dance3: Bought the FE gifts today and with the help of DISsis and her great ideas, got some nice gifts. Now I just have to organize them.

When I called about the movies showing on the Oct 6 Fantasy cruise, and they gave me this list, I questioned the gentleman about Frankenweenie because he didn't mention that movie, which he then quickly replied, oh I'm sorry that one is showing also, so maybe.... Nemo in 3D will be showing also.

One week today and we'll be at the airport!:cool1:

Have started sorting the FEs and it will definitely be per stateroom for me. For those with friends in their staterooms, I'll try to add some extra bits, but most of my bags are meant for sharing anyway!!:thumbsup2

Day rooms at the Hyatt are $87 and enable you to have a normal room from around 10am to 5-6pm. As the flights back to the UK are not until the evening, we like to put our bags in the room, have a snoozette if we're tired, sit on the balcony with lunch (bought from downstairs in the airport), go for a swim if we get really bored, or just sit in the sun on our balcony or the terrace.
We really don't like sitting in the airport for 7 hours, so it's a worthwhile payment for us.:)

Thanks for the tip ... booked a day room for our return trip home!

Two more days before we fly out ... :hyper:

Just got home from a weekend in Michigan, supporting the Blue and Maize! Now I can start my countdown to the cruise :) But boooo for picking up overtime to pay for the festivities on the cruise and in Disney! Right before leaving, we got the confirmation for our Palo's group dinner in the private room - so excited! Only 12 :furious: more shifts until we leave (9 - 12 hours and 3 - 8 hours shifts). they are going to go by SOOO slow! Needless to say, I am excited!!!!!!!!! My DS is about 90% packed and I have all my dinner clothes ready to go. :hourglass

Since this is my first cruise I need help..If I want to send post cards from the different ports, where is the best place to get stamps?

Everything I have received from St. Thomas came via USPS. According to the USPS website, there is a Post Office in Havensight Mall @ the docks. There is a Bahamian Post Office on Castaway Cay. It is the Bahamas, so it might or might not be open.... It's cash only, and I would recommend small bills because they have been known to run out of change. If not, there will be stamps @ Guest Services. It's not unusual for it to take 2 weeks to 3 months for your post cards to arrive home from the Bahamas. Lots of people say they never got them. Mine got here at Christmas from an October cruise. Here is a link to some info about the Postal Service on St. Martin. It sounds they are a lot like the Bahamas....
