For anyone who has sailed the last cruise out prior to a dry dock, did you notice and differences in what was available on the cruise? Any amenities in limited supply, etc..... Did they start cutting back on services in anticipation of the dry dock? Thanks for your replies.

We were on the last sailing before one of the Magic's dry docks (not the one before her re-imagining, but still one that had plenty of work scheduled). There was nothing that we noticed that wasn't available staff-, activity-, food- or amenity-wise. What I remember most was how much fun the crew was having - some were excited because they were not participating in dry dock so they got to go home; others were looking forward to a change in pace - doing something they didn't normally do. So the atmosphere was even better than it normally was. The last day or so, we did see signs of the impending dry dock -- they started lining elevators with plywood (I guess so they didn't get banged up when they used them like freight elevators) and there were some areas that had supplies or equipment moved in. But nothing that stopped us from using the spaces or elevators.

We didn't plan to be on the cruise before dry dock and actually didn't realize it until right before we sailed. But we have commented that if we could work it out, we would probably really enjoy being on another one.

Generally, the ship ran as usual. But, beginning the a couple of days before, some areas may start being blocked off, so they can use them for storage. Particularly on the upper (pool) decks.

We were on the last cruise in September before the Wonder set sail for her dry dock in Spain. I can honestly say there were very few signs of the upcoming renovations. We never had plywood on the elevator floors. There were 2 stacks of plywood on Deck four that were covered with custom canvas covers that were very unobtrusive. There were no areas blocked off until after we had docked on disembarkation day. The top deck, sports area had been blocked off and been loaded with a shipping container. We watched them cut the netting from the courts down before we left the ship. Guests in Parrot Cay the last night were allowed to keep their menu covers. I would have no reservations of booking another pre-dry dock cruise.
