Safely Driving through CA to Disneyland?

Is this a serious thread? Tucson is more dangerous... This isn't downtown Oakland or San Francisco. I assume you're not planning to stop by Skid Row and even then, those people are so zonked out they're virtually harmless. Maybe keep the political bumper stickers off the car for the trip and mind your P's and Q's. There is zero to worry about.

As someone who lives in Los Angeles this thread definitely reads like satire. I’d be more afraid to drive to Arizona, but mostly because I can’t deal with that level of heat

OP's signature states they have been to DLR 38 times in the past 27 years. Their most recent visit was less than 6 mos ago. Is this the first time they've driven?

Entirely possible! We drive if we 1) have lots of stuff (dorm move-in/out), 2) want our own car and are not staying put in one place while in CA, or 3) have a sudden change of plans. Otherwise, esp. if it's just one or two of us, with at least a few weeks' notice - flights can be pretty cheap. Last roundtrip I booked on SW was less than $100pp. Either way, I always run the math. Hotel parking fees can be killer!

We drove down to Disneyland from northern CA two weeks ago. No issues. We've driven several times. No issues. Be smart, stay alert...like you always should be.
