Safari Club question

I've read that you receive gift certs for birthdays, etc., but how far in advance do they send them? We'll be at WDW the last week of Jan. and my daughters birthday is 2/9. Would we receive the cert before 1/24? Also can these certs be used in conjuction with other gift certs?

I received my Safari Club birthday cert. in Aug. for my Oct. 1st birthday. So going by that you should get it before you leave. Can't remember if it can be used in conjunction with any other cert.

SeaWitch: Safari Club is a program Rainforest Cafe has that gives you a 10 percent discount off your food bill (OR a free chef's appetizer of the day), 10 percent off merchandise, priority seating, and a $5 gift cert. on your birthday. You can join at any Rainforest Cafe, it's a onetime $15 fee, but you get the discount even on your first meal. And you get a $10 cert. through the mail a few weeks after you join. We've really found it to be worth the $15!

Not too bad: We joined for $15, got our free appetizer while we still used the temporary card, the $10 within about a month and the $5 three months before my birthday

With teh discounts they offer, it really is a nice deal.

I got mine last week for my birthday next month. However they closed the RFC by us and we probably won't be anywhere near one before it expires .
