Did anyone hear that Geraldo Rivera was the first on-scene reporter to interview Saddam Hussein? When Geraldo asked Saddam where he was going after he received a shave and a haircut, Saddam said:

I'm going to visit IT's A Small World at Disney World.

Seriously, it is quite a memorable day, Sunday, December 14, 2003. Years from now, people may be asking where you were when Saddam was captured. And, its pouring rain right now.

Absolutely. And it's snowing a lovely pure snow here. :)

I can't believe this is really happening. The joy I'm feeling for the Iraqi people is immeasurable. ::yes::

Oh my! I'd have never thought I'd find out Saddam Hussein was captured through the DIS!!! That's what I get for being on line for 4 hours straight! Thanks for the info, gotta go watch CNN now!

When DS7 asks me 10 years from now where I was when I found out, I'll have to admit I was on DIS!! Hopefully by that time, he will also be a DIS Veteran! Happy thoughts for the Iraqi people! Maybe that's been Saddam's problem all along--he never got to go to WDW!

Hehehe... Good one, WDWisTheBest...

I heard the news first thing at 6:30 Am when I turned on my TV, and thought he mentioned It's a Small World, but also that after training with mice and cockroaches he would race Fidel Castro to an audition for a Gillette double edge sword, I mean, razor commercial...

LOL!!!!!! He looks ROUGH!!! Much different digs than those grand palaces he was in! Thank God there was no one hurt in his capture! We've lost enough of our troops. It would be wonderful if the rest could come home to us safe!!!

This was the best news. I heard the going to It's A Small World thing too. I hope he will realize what a small world it actually is. The was the best news for the Iraqy people. It is also a boost for the military. It was very nice yesterday when my husband took some on his privates to the airport yesterday and as they were walking through the airport they were aplauded. I wish people would think that all of the time. I understand that this is there job, but the sacrafices they make is huge. I also loved the remark from the first soldier that saw him that said "President Bush sends his reguards"

I've always thought about just somehow sending all of the world's terrorist through It's A Small World a couple of times. They either realize how lovely peace and love can be OR Disney will force it into their minds with that earworm song that is still stuck in my head to this very day.....

I Support Our Troops! thnx and one heck of a job well done. Who's next?

Although I think I'll feel more joy for the Iraqi people -- and I suspect they'll feel more joy as well -- when they can flip the wall switch and actually get electricity or when they can turn on the gas stove and cook a meal. Because the closer we get to those services being restored, the closer we get to getting out of Iraq. Hopefully THAT day isn't too far away.

8yo DD asked me today if America is going to make December 13th a holiday now. :D
