Not sure if I should post here... but here's our report:
First, after reading no so good things about USAir...travel was great-on time and no problems. We arrived at 11am & had no problems with ME. Long line but kept moving quickly! Got to Poly around lunch time. Had room ready but made a request for 1st floor rarotonga... she gave us a 2nd floor then I asked about our request. She made a phone call & they gave us our request -great room-great view. We just had to wait until 3pm when it was ready. While doing laundry half way through trip we encountered almost all washers/dryers taken up w/ no one in sight. ARGGHH!! Then in walks someone from housekeeping apologizing about the washers-he had a guest arriving w/ severe allergies and was washing all sheets, pillowcases, blankets, towels etc to get out any chemicals normally used in the wash. I was quite impressed as he explained the procedure & how he was going out of his way to get it done!!! (Can't say enough about that Poly!) Anyway, we won dream fast passes at HS at the Drew Carey comedy show. Very excited as this is my least favorite park & it made the day great!! We were chosen as the family to open Mickeys Philharm. in the morning-received a certificate & our son spoke some Chinese & received a certificate too. Restaurants were great... The Wave, Coral Reef, Trails End, Whispering Canyon, 1900 Park Fare, Cap'n Jacks, Garden Grill. Glad to have reservations as we saw many turned away. Now for the bad: Will never go to DD on the bus again. Not too long of a wait for us-but another family waited well over an hour for it!!!! I did talk to concierge earlier in the day and she kinda mentioned sometimes 45 min. to wait as this bus was sharing with TL or BB.
All in all we had a great trip only rained 1 day - afternoon only & the crowd size & heat definitely manageable!!! Just before we left had a diser across the hall in Poly!! Otherwise-didn't see many LGMH!!!!!! Oh anyone know what the purple mickey head pins mean?
