Josh Ryan Evans, who played Timmy the doll, died last night at age 20. This is on eonline.com. It said he had a long-existing heart condition.
He was also the young Grinch in the "Grinch who Stole Christmas" movie.

Oh my goodness. I don't watch that show but I've seen snippets. He was also on some talk show recently and seemed so energized and not put off about his disability at all. He sure made the best of a tough life. So very young to die. :(

I just saw this and told DH, who is watching Passions now. We are shocked and very saddened.:(

how sad!! i really thought timmy was adorable...:(

Aww, that is so sad! I loved Timmy

Thank you for posting this news. To say I am stunned is putting it mildly. I don't watch Passions regularly, but often stop by while channel surfing. I always enjoyed his acting.

I don't watch Passions but I've seen him in interviews and thought he was a wonderful person. Prayers for his family, friends and fans. This will be a huge blow to the show.

My mom just told me about that when I came home from shopping. She said she was watching something on tv about how they had to write him out of the script because he died in real life. I'm so upset, he was such a great actor and one of my favorite people on the show. He was so young.:(

On Access Hollywood tonight they said they had "Timmy" die in yesterday's episode so that Josh could have a hiatus. They planned to write him back into the show. They said they will now take him out of any shows they've already shot.

WOW!! I had just read in Soap Opera Digest that he was only on a hiatus while doctors decided what to do with his condition. Timmy was going to be resurrected. HOW SAD!!!!!!!!!!! :( And how ironic he died on the same day his character Timmy did.

How sad! And I was thinking in yesterday's show that they would probably bring him back as a doll. That's just terrible.

Usually characters don't die on soaps, so I was kinda figuring he would just come back as a doll. But I guess they can't do that now. I'm just glad they're not replacing him, that would be too sad.:(
