Hey Sabrina! I subscribed awhile ago but I just caught up

We're using titles on our invitations. My DF is a Dr. and his mother wouldn't have it any other way. I'll be a Dr. when we get married, but I'm not using my title. I think it sounds cute and looks nice, plus he busted his butt for the title, so why not use it? My cousins have done it, and I really don't think it's pretentious.

I also love your idea about "faking it" for the wedding. Your best friend sounds like she has the same complexion as me so I will be fake tanning. I also want long extensions with lots of curls! That part I'm really excited about! hah

I've seen the prototypes of your invitations on your pj but it's so nice to see the final product. They are so modern but still classy. They are really nice. I don't think that we will use titles but thank you for not thinking I would be pretentious for doing so. Congratulations to you and your DF for achieving your Dr. titles. It is quite an accomplishment!

I thought about using them for some teeth that I had shift after getting my wisdom teeth

oh cool, no I didn't think about checking them out. Same thing happened to me with the wisdom teeth and because I had teeth pulled awhile back for space. I'll talk to an ortho to see if those would be right for me. I checked out ibraces that go on the inside of your teeth but the quote was $12,000!

About the shower.....

We are planning to have one even though we aren't inviting 99% of the people to the wedding itself because when we get back home (about a month later) we are going to have a reception (nothing fancy) with the photo album and dvd playing of the wedding for the guests to feel like they were there. It is going to be explained that we are only having immediate family due to the cost for them and us, and we want it intimate. My family would probably love to go , but also will be glad we didn't expect them to fork over vacation $$ to go.

So my thoughts are it isn't such a bad idea

I still don't know what is going on for the shower but I will keep everybody posted as soon as I know. I haven't even thought about having a get together when we get back from our DFTW. I guess that would probably be a good idea for anybody who can't make it down.

It's a beautifule dress. I love it but if you don't think it's the one then maybe you should keep looking. There is nothing worse then having regrets.

This first one is my dream dress. It's a Romona Keveza:

I LOVE this dress but it retails for over $4000! I could only buy it second hand. Somebody was selling it on ebay for the longest time but have never tried to sell it again. If you know anybody selling it please let me know.

Yes, it is a really great dress but it's just missing "that feeling" I think I would regret wearing. I really wanted a mermaid but feel in love with this dress because it is pink and it was an impulse buy. Not so good for a wedding dress. Plus I've seen it every day for the past 1.5 years so maybe that has something to do with it?

Here's what I like for my MOH and my flower girls

All 3 of those flower girl dresses were on ebay for under $30 each. I love the first all pink one and I wanted my MOH to wear a similar dress but she would never speak to me again if I asked her to wear that. I would prefer strapless but she likes halter and I like asymmetrical dresses so something like the first pic is what we envision.
I recently had a thought about flower girl dresses. They could pick the princess that they liked but if they picked Aurora that would be awesome and that would be their flower girl gift incorporated in that.

Honestly I'm still not sure about the color. I think I might regret not having a white or ivory colored dress and I REALLY want a mermaid style.

I know! Epcot is really great but REALLY early in the morning for me. haha, I'm glad you like the wings I'll let you know how the braces go. I'm thinking they might be expensive because they are unconventional or rather more expensive then regular metal braces.

I'm in the same boat as you, we got engaged back in 2006, but my wedding is not until 2009...such a long wait, but at the same time, it leaves us plenty of time to plan, and not feel rushed with everything! It seems like it is taking forever to get married, don't you find but you are right, I'm such a planner so I guess it worked out for the best and as you can tell I'm still really indecisive so I guess it's good it's only next year

I recently had a thought about flower girl dresses. I think it would be really cute if I took the girls the morning of my wedding to the bibbity bobbity boutique and let them get their hair, make up, nails done and pick out a princess outfit to wear. They could pick the princess that they liked but if they picked Aurora that would be awesome and that would be their flower girl gift incorporated in that.

We are taking our 2 flower girls to the bibbity bobbity boutique to get everything but their dresses. I think it will be a cute surprise for them the morning of the wedding.
