One of the draws for BCV is obviously SAB. But considering my DDs are 8 and 12 are they getting too old for this to be a factor? Is it big enough for teens to enjoy?

You are never too old for SAB! There is plenty to do for teens and then there is the beach to lounge on.

The nice thing about having older children at SAB is it's easier for the adults to relax if you are confident in their swimming skills and comfortable not having them in your sight every minute.

It was not very relaxing when my Ds's were younger and wanted to slide. I would walk them to the foot of the stairs and then rush back over to see them come out the other side.

They are now 9 and 11 and they really enjoy it. They also enjoy SSR's main pool.

I was 43 when I went to SAB and I loved it! My kids were 6, 10, & 13 and they loved it. I think of all the pools on property - this one would be best for tweens & teens.

My kids were 17 and 15 our last trip and they quite enjoyed it. There were a lot of older kids there.

I think that's why people like it so much, fun for all ages.

My DD (she turned 14 during our trip last month) had a blast in SAB with her 17yo & 14yo friends. Your kids will love it!

62 !! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
It's the only pool on Disney property I'm aware of that has a deep depth of 8'...and....
how "Wonderful" the coolness of deep water on a hot Fla. day !!!:worship:

I agree with everyone else; this is a great pool. I think I enjoyed the slide more than my boys who were 16 and 20 at the time!

I think your kids will love it...mine were 7 & 10 when we were there last February, and they had a blast! From the sandy beach to the awesome slide, I would imagine your DDs will enjoy it for many years to come...:cloud9:

PS, love your screen name, 'cause that's how it works at my house, too!

Every age! My DD was 2 when we first stayed at BC and she loved it. It has always been her favorite pool. She's 14 now and still looking forward to playing in the pool. She especially enjoys the water games.

I think your kids are the perfect age for SAB. I love it there! The only drawback is that you have to leave the pool area to go across and access the slide. It's a two parent job with the younger ones-one at each end of the slide. Your kids are old enough that you and the kids will be able to relax and enjoy it!

SAB is the best swimming complex at WDW, if your DDs can't like it, there is nothing on site they will like.

SAB is a big draw for all of our family (now ages 15 to 55), and we spend part of every afternoon there when we are "home." Love the sandy bottom and the 8' deep lazy river.

SAB is a really cool pool, but I'm going to give my standard disclaimer.

This is a great pool for todders and preschoolers - zero entry, sand bar, a slide that is great for the preschool set over in the ship. You are with little kids in the pool all the time anyway.

This is a great pool when your kids get to the age when you can say "meet me back here at 3." Its a large pool with a lot to do, a very cool slide.

This is a bad pool FOR PARENTS when you have kids of varying ages who you want to keep an eye on but are old enough not to be attached to your hip. This is not a "sit in a lounge chair with a drink and be able to see your kids" pool. The kids have to be well outside your sight to get to the slide entrance from where the slide enters the pool. The pool twists and turns and is huge - lousy sight lines. And two adults finding each other can take fifteen minutes while you walk in circles missing each other.... Its the "box of Loreal required" pool for someone with an eight year old marginal swimmer who also needs to watch a three year old. There are places where the pool is very deep (over my 5'6" head) when you step off the edge. There are places that are deep with currents. This is not the pool to do zone defense in.

If your kids like pools, then SAB will draw them. There is something for everyone at this pool!

It's really enjoyable for all ages, but my kids liked it better when they were younger. They are now 19 and they enjoy the slide at the BW more because it's longer and it winds around.

uhm 36 and 38. We went on our last trip and had a super amount of fun. DH and I loved it as much as our 6 year old dd.

Let's see now...DS 14-Loves it!:lovestruc Me 45-I think it is awesome! DH 48-Thinks it's great too!:rotfl: What is not to love about it? It is great for all ages!

Well my son found it appealing at age 7 and has loved it every time since and he is 15 now. I am a lot older than that (nearing SS age) and I still find it appealing also.
