Hi,
A few questions as we're preparing for a 7 day Eastern...

Can you tell me when the Tea With Wendy's are on the Eastern itinierary? (time and day please)

Also, am I correct in the assumption that a glass of champagne comes with your Palo's champagne brunch, or is all champagne an additional charge ~ besides the $10?

Can anyone please confirm that the "Best of Master Chef" night is on the final night? The new Eastern Itineraries don't say!

Finally, if you've been on the Magic recently in a suite and can comment on your concierge service, I'd greatly appreciate it!

Many thanks...

Can't help with your other questions, but I do know that the $10 surcharge for the champagne brunch does include one glass of champagne. You're on the hook if you want a refill.

We were in a cat. 1 in September. The concierge service wasn't what we would expect being in a suite. Book a suite for the room, it is beautiful and spacious, not the service.

We didn't plan to attend the Tea with Wendy but I did hear several people talking about how the tickets were gone by 10:30 am the morning they were available. Find out what day they will be at the front desk soon after you board and get there ASAP that morning. I think they were given out on Monday since I recall being in line for the princess autographs when someone talked about it.

Thanks for the answer about the champagne brunch. That makes sense and was hoping it would be that way!

Still wondering about a time/day for the Tea with Wendy. I was able to find the time to "get" the tickets, but not a time for the actual event. I don't want to book a champagne brunch at the same time as Wendy's LOL!

Also, having previously been in a Cat. 1, I wholeheartedly agree with concierge not being the reason to book a suite ~ the rooms are fantastic. We had a bad time with the concierge staff on our last trip and wanted to know peoples RECENT experiences with the concierge staff that will probably be our staff on our January, 2004 trip!

Thanks so much if you can answer any of my questions!!

Just want to correct my answer. The navigators have the tea tickets available to be picked up at 9:30 Sunday morning. Sorry, I looked at everything & can't find the day & time for the actual event.

As I recall Tea with Wendy was on Sunday and Monday (sea days) on the Eastern. Our last cruise was July 2002. I am hoping it will be the same in January. Since we were in a cat 3, we were able to request the tickets when we met with the concierge on the first afternoon on board and didn't have to wait in line.

cotomom - when are you traveling, I will be on the magic in January and can let you know if it is still the same.

Thanks lbgraves for checking...

Thanks for the offer dancermom, but we'll be on before you, so I'll have to report! We are on 1/10 Eastern! Can't wait! Will you be concierge again? I'll definitely give you my opinion on staff/service upon return!

Maybe someone before us or just recently will be able to help out a little more??

Yes, we will be concierge again. We do it for the room, but there are a few nice perks, like not having to stand in line for tickets for Wendy, or hairbraiding appointments. Also, when you meet with the concierge on day one they do all your ressies for you (spa, palo, get the kids signed up for the clubs, and anything else you may need). Also, every night we were on there was a little suprise when we came back to the room. Also, my daughter loved her gold key to the world card. Also, you get on the ship before anyone. I'll be waiting to hear from you, Have a great trip!!!!!!!
