S.S. Member Cruise...Cruel & Unusual Punishment

Just got the S.S. Member Cruise email, except we're not going, never were, can't, wish we could, been green with envy all along and now we're getting the emails! Oh what a cruel world! Anywho, it sounds like an awesome cruise, have a great time all you lucky DVC'ers!

We just couldn't swing it this time.

To explain this a bit, when we booked, they asked for an email addy - well, the first email didn't even get to most of the people going! Now, it seems, they went the other way and it went to more than just the cruisers. I'm not trying to rub it in or anything, We're sorry more of you couldn't go

Just saw our message and we are going! Maybe it is a ploy to fill up those last few open cabins!!!

We almost had to cancel because of dog and child issues but family came through and helped out. Of course after taking the grandparents to BCV for 5 days in October we probably helped out our cause.

Hopefully, the weather will be better than today...6" of snow and 12 degrees right now in Charlotte. Brrrr...

I think they probably sent it out to fill any vacancies (as Macmonster said) and/or to entice us for the next cruise.

I do sort of feel like Cinderella hearing about the ball.

Read the e-mail about the cruise and at first was green with envy but now am happy for all of you going and maybe they will have another one next year as I will hopefully attend..make sure you report back and tell us all about the wonderful time that I know you will all have..good sailing and GOOD WEATHER..Marianne

How many points would it take for a family of Five for seven days?

I honestly couldn't tell you right now how many points it is.

It's a 4 day cruise.

Also it sets sail THIS February 2nd. As in 9 days from now.

Your best bet for information is to call Member Services in the morning.

I got it, too. I thought maybe there were sudden vacancies. Since I can't go, I imagined that the sudden vacancies were due to cancellations by people fearful of the Norwalk Virus.
