Hi all,

The DVC perk on AP's is so good that we are likely to get them. But the tipping point is pretty close between these and the 10 day premiums for us, so can you help?

We're going in September, and plan to go one week earlier next September so we can get two years out of it, so low season both times. How likely are we to get an AP discount on hotels at that time? Can we get that discount for family members even if we're staying with DVC? How many rooms can you get at once with the discount?

Also, the first day of our stay will be the 23rd, which will be the last day of our stay next year. I thought I saw that the AP is actually good for 366 days - until the end of the calendar day in which you activate it. Is this right? Just wouldn't want to blow the last day of next year's trip for probably one hour in the park this time.

I would say you might be able to get AP discounts in September. The catch is that to get the AP discount, someone staying in the room must have the AP to get the price. They will ask for this at check in. You are right about the 366 days.

I believe you can reserve up to 3 rooms at the AP discount. You would need to be present at check-in for your family member's rooms to show your AP.
