 Does anyone know how often mousekeeping comes in to clean? Do we need to clean or do they come in and do it like they do at the regular resorts? We are planning on staying @ VWL for the 1st time in September 2005. :wave2:

There are two different levels of Mousekeeping, depending on the length of your stay.

If you're staying 7-days or less, then on day 4 (your check-in date counts as day 1), you get what's called Trash & Towel Service, which includes the following:

  • Empty the trash and put new liners in the wastebaskets.
  • Provide fresh bathroom towels.
  • Replace shampoo, facial soap, and bath soap.
  • Replenish facial tissues, paper towels, and toilet paper.
  • Replenish coffee, sugar, and creamer.
  • Replenish dishwashing liquid, dishwasher detergent, sponges, and laundry detergent as needed (in 1-B/R or larger villas)

If staying 8-days or longer, then on day 4 you get a Full Cleaning service, which in addition to all the regular T&T items, it also includes the following:

  • Change the bed linens
  • Vacuum and dust
  • Clean the bathrooms
  • Clean the kitchen/kitchenette and wash the dishes.

For stays of 8-days or longer the following cycle is used:
Full Cleaning on day 4, T&T on day 8, Full Cleaning on day 12, T&T on day 16....etc.

To add to Caskbill's info, it depends. If you rent cash direct from Disney (not DVC) you get daily mousekeeping. IF you rent from a member, use points or use the member cash discount, go by the info Caskbill provided. You can always pay to get it extra in any combo you want. There is not expectation for you to clean but if you trash it, they will charge you extra.
