?'s on posting pictures

Once again, I am trying to figure this out. I know that I need to put img /img (with the [] of course) with the info for the picture. However I can not seem to get it to pull the image up without it being a link. Also, I tried to upload pictures to the DIS picture board, but it is still telling me that my image is waiting approval. How long does that take? I really want to add a picture to my sig and show off pictures of my kids when we go apple-picking this weekend. Not to mention with Halloween coming up! Please someone hel pme figure it out, and I promise to save the help to a word file so I never have to ask again!!

Well, I have some on imagestation, but it does not seem to work today. I'll try again later, maybe I am just a little wackier then normal right now!

I don't think Imagestation allows remote hosting pics for bulletin boards, which would be why you're having trouble?

I've used this site: http://www.imageshack.us/ Especially for a one time picture posting.

I host my pics on imagestation. I can put a pic directly on a thread here on the DIS, not on ezboard though. I like imagestation, its easy to use and best of all, its free.

1. What does your code look like? http://www.allovio-gallery.com/disney/Disney_Images/DIS-logo-mickey-mouse.gif[ /img] minus the space before the / would give you:

[img]http://www.allovio-gallery.com/disney/Disney_Images/DIS-logo-mickey-mouse.gif

2. On imagastation, are you double clicking on the pic to get the pic view image? I've tried to link from the storage bin and it just gives me the link, not the pic.

3. I don't know how long it takes for approval on the DIS picture board. In the past, just a few hours.

The first one is an older picture I have put up before, so can't figure why that one works and the other does not. I'll wait and see what I can do with the DIS photo board.

Edited to get rid of REAL big image that finally came up! Yikes!!!!

OK, that was kinda weird. Now how did you get the image sized down for me?

Try deleting the .orig.jpg at the end of the link you're linking.

The reason it didn't work the first time was you had the .jpg and listed twice.

To resize you would put < > around the code instead of [] and put img width=200 src= your link > (no slash)

Like :
