I think the smell of BREAD and anything related to bread is very alluring!
The smell of MEAT cooking on the grill is good too!

Bread baking, and cookies, but my all time favorite is the smell of fresh shrimp being boiled.

It doesn't happen with shrimp that have been previously frozen, they have to have been caught within the past 24 hours to get that special aroma. I just got back from a trip to the coast, and I was high on it the entire week I was there.

There was a Nabisco factory just over the line in a town next to the one where I grew up. When the air currents and temperatures were right, that baking smell wafted over the whole town and got your salivary glands going!
