where can I get them at a good price. We have 5 children to buy them for and I don't want to be broke before we go. Also what is the best big pen to get to sign the books with
Thanks
Michele

It depends. I don't want to spend a fortune. From what I see if I would get for each of my children I am looking at 12-15 $'s each child and that is alot of money to me when you add that they are going to want to do everything else they come upon.

If you don't care about "Disney theme" you can get lanyards at the dollar store & autographbooks at Walmart (for about $4) look in the Crafting/SB area, spiral with foam covers, just add stickers. The best pens IMHO are the new clickable perm markers. Target had a package of assorted colors for about $8 - 2 weeks ago.

I am visiting WDW for the first time in September. I too am looking for an inexpensive autograph book for my 3 kids. I have found spiral bound index cards that are perforated. I am planning on using the index cards for autographs, removing them after the trip and putting them in an inexpensive photo album with pics of kids with character that signed. Shouldn't cost much if visiting Michael's or Dollar store.

Hi!

If you are planning to use the autographs in scrapbooks, be sure that the characters sign only one side of the page. You can even turn the autograph book into a scrapbook by putting a picture on the left and a signature on the right.

I don't use a book. I bring card stock and an acid-free marker and the characters sign those. I then put them on scrapbook pages with the photos.

If anyone has questions or wants to see samples, just let me know!

Our local Pharm store has neat hard cover books filled with lined paper with retro disney designs in school supplies. Some are about notecard size, others are 8 x 11. I think the price was about $4 for the small ones. They were cute. I just got a plain notecard size notebook and decorated it myself with stickers and permanent markers. We also used color sharpies for the thick pen. The only problem was each character had to use one entire sheet because of the bleed through on the back.

Thanks for all of the info!!!! If I look for lanyards where would they in WalMart? Do you put something on the end where there would be keys?
Michele

I found the laynards at the Dollar store - but walmart probably has them too. I'd check in the accessories dept near the key rings. As for what to put on the ends, I don't know maybe another key ring- I've seen those soft plastic
3-D ones with characters, but I can't recall where. Has anybody else seen these?

I do the same thing, only I take a stack of card stock to Office Depot and have them bind it so I don't lose any of the autographs that way, LOL! When I get home, I just take the book apart and scrap the autographs.

I found pretty nice scrapbooks at AC Moore's today. They are sprial bound and they have 60 pages and are 6x8 size. They only had them in black so I am going to continue to look for others the same in those colors. The idea of going to Office Depot and having the cardstock bound is also a good idea. Is that expensive?

Hi,

I would love to see the samples, TiggerPU88. We are heading to Disney and I'm trying to figure out what to do for autograph books.

Thanks

Our Target had leather looking hard back books with blank pages for $4. I bought a black one for DS and an orange one for DD. Now I just need to find the lanyard and pen.

You can have cardstock bound at our local Kinko's for $5...

Just last week I was in Walmart's fabric and craft section and came across neon colored foam spiral bound 40 page books. I picked them up for friends leaving immediately for DW. They came in pink, orange, and green for around $4. They were made by fibrecraft and she said they worked great. They had thick white pages that she will probably let the kids add character stickers to upon their arrival home. Walmart said they carry this item all the time so I am going to pick some up for our trip in March.
