My DB is huge steam train fanatic, so we're planning on taking this tour during our next trip to WDW. I have a few questions though.

1) What time does the tour start? I thought I read in one of the guidebooks that it starts at 6 am, but I've read a few posts here that say 7 am :confused3 .

2) How long does it usually last? Is it 2 or 3 hours long (again, two different sources, two different answers).

3) Is the tour weather-permitting, or do they have it regardless of weather?

I'd appreciate any help. Thanks!

I believe that it starts at 7:15 am and lasts 3 hours, but the guys will stay with you all day if you want... they love talking about trains. My DH did this tour on our May trip and LOVED it. It is worth every cent and then some. Make sure that your DH and you bring a camera since there are a lot of great photo opportunities including down Main Street before the park opens and then of course the train stuff :) I'm not sure about the weather, but would guess that it doesn't get rained out since they still use the trains in the rain and they never mentioned any cancellation policy.

Make sure you get a discount if you have an AP or I think also AAA. If you have any questions I would be happy to help (and get the answers from my DH).

I didn't know that they had AP discounts for the tour. I'm glad you mentioned it; we'll be getting AP's and DDE cards for the trip, so we'll definitely mention the AP when we book the tour. Thanks again! :)
