We are going to be at HFIS Oct 6-13. We got a GREAT rate of $85.54 per night. A few ?'s though.

1)Do they have free "cribs" available? If so, Are they porta-cribs or Pak n Plays. I'm try to bring as few things as possible for my 11 mo old.

2)Can you rely on the transportation provided or do we need to plan on taking our own car each day?

3) What's the best building to stay in?

4) How many children per paying adult get free meals, and if you order lunch from the food court, do the children have to be with to get the free meals.

5) What time can you REALLY check-in?

Thanks for your help. I know I will think of 10 more question as soon as I submit post.

1) I'm not sure, you may want to call HIFS and ask.

2) We didn't use the transportation. Personally, we like having a car and not waiting for a shuttle. It's only minutes away, so I would suggest driving.

3) IMO Building's 6, 7, or 8 (8 being the best)

4) 4 children per each paying adult, and I don't know if they have to be present or not?

5) We weren't able to get into our room until around 3:00. However, they have 2 hospitality rooms set aside for people to use so they can rest, watch tv, or change clothes for the pool. These are available as soon as you arrive.

Hope that helps :)

I would also suggest using your own car because the schedule for the shuttle may not be what you want. Also, the hotel is not walking distance from anywhere in case you want to get out.

I got lucky on the check in, I was able to get a room at about 12 noon.

BTW, that IS a great rate! :teeth:

Yes the crib is free and it is a bit smaller than a reg. crib with high sides,so child can't crawl/fall out of it.

We got our room early too!

We had a rental car. You have to schedule the bus a day in advance.

How did you get that great rate?

Also, we get there at around 8-9 p.m. What kind of room will we get?????

I'd be interested in how you got that rate too? I'm leaving tomorrow and have a 109 rate, but includes breakfast and dinner buffet.............

I can answer a couple!

Yes, the children must be present in order to get the free lunch in the food court. (I found this out the hard way!)

We were also able to check in early to our room around noon.

I agree that it would be more than worth it to have a rental car when staying here. Very easy to get to the parks from HIFS.

Hope you have a wonderful trip! :)

I got the rate because I booked through the six continents website (HI's parent co., I guess) and they had a lowest rate guarantee, where if you found a lower rate online within 24 hrs. of booking they would honor that, and give you 10% off the lower rate. Well, needless to say, I had already found the lower rate of $95.04 before I even booked. Don't remember what site now, though. Can't find it save my life.

one more ? how long does it take to get to MK (approx?) Thanks

It takes maybe 10-15 minutes to get to the Magic Kingdom. You are only about a mile outside the gate
