We have never stayed here, but our family is interested in it for our upcoming reunion. We usually stay at a deluxe or POR because we are a family of 5, but this stay we will be a family of 11 with 3 rooms. One of my problems is with the number of beds. My boys are 17 and each need there own. How bad would it be to have 4 in a room with a rollway?

Also, this is one of the only resorts we haven't even visited? Because we spend quite a bit of time in the 'real' caribbean how do you think we will find the theming? What areas would we find most convenient to pool, food court, and buses? What about the marina? We have purchased a family plan at POR and at BC. How would these compare? Any other thoughts or tips for us?

I thought we would be heading back to POR (deluxe is not an option this trip, as we are paying for everyone:scared1: ), but it occurred to me that with this arrangement maybe there were other options. Also, I am on a personal quest to stay at every wdw property!

You might want to take a look at the CBR FAQ thread. Link is listed below. The first several posts contain information about the resort.

If you post your questions there many folks will be along to help with your trip to CBR.

It is our favorite.

CBR is a lovely, lovely resort. It is nothing like the real Caribbean, however. I love the Caribbean, too.

Have you ever been to POFQ? CBR is as much like the real Caribbean as POFQ is like the real French Quarter. CBR has some sand, some brightly colored buildings, some piped-in steel drum music and a lot of hibiscus. It does not have public drug sales (which I've personally encountered only in Jamaica and Puerto Rico) and abject poverty and run-down tin-roof shacks and street merchants. Just like POFQ has neat wrought-iron details and some Mardi Gras masks but it doesn't have drunks and female toplessness and a faint stale beer smell.

CBR has 6 villages. Each village has its own pool and its own bus stop. So there's no such thing as a room that's very far from a pool or bus stop. If you want to guarantee a room close to the main pool and the food court then you have to reserve and pay extra for a "preferred location" room. If you don't do this, you take your chances of being fairly far from Old Port Royale (the complex that has the food, main pool, etc.).

CBR's main pool is closed until about mid-September of this year.
