So, we will be arriving on a Satureday afternoon, and won't check into the Pop until Sunday. We are staying offsite that night.

If we can get a reservation at Boma, will we be able to go to the safari look outs in the hotel, and will we be able to go out to the pool area and look at the animals through the night vision goggles?

Yes, you can certainly view the animals that night. It's amazing!!

You don't even have to eat there to be able to go out and check out the animals with the night vision goggles. They were really nice when we were there just to check out the hotel.

I just got a reservation for 7:35 the night we arrive. I figure, we go, see the animals and hotel for a few, then we eat, then we go do the night goggle thing. YAY!!!!!

I really want to stay the week there, but uh... aboug $900 more for 6 nights, so not much. So dinner one night sounds much better.

Touring the AKL and having dinner at Boma's will be a great start to your trip. It will definitely get you in the Disney spirit. We went out to Arusha Rock after dinner at Boma and there was a great CM there to answer everyone's questions about the animals on the savannah. The lobby is beautiful -- there is plenty to see there, too!

Night vision goggles are similar to binoculars. AKL CMs on Arusha Rock and behind the swimming pool have the night vision goggles. Guests take turns using them. I think the viewing starts at 9 p.m. The times will be posted on the activities boards in the lobby and near the restaurants.
