My DB and I will be staying at ASMo next Sept. (2006) during the Nights of Joy, and I have a couple of questions for anyone who may have stayed there over that weekend. How crowded/noisy does this particular hotel get? Also, we'll probably be arriving at around 11 am that Friday. What are the chances of getting an early check-in?

Haven't been during the NOJ, but you can check in anytime you want to. The room isn't guaranteed to be ready, but they will check you in and store your luggage until your room is ready. You could go on to the parks or whatever you want to do, you don't have to hang around an wait. I would think if you don't have a bunch of room requests, you would have a good chance of having a room be ready at that time, ours was when we checked in at noon. But, if you want a specific corner of a specific floor of a specific building, you may have to wait.

Hope this helps!

I don't have alot of requests, just a room in the Love Bug section (I'll be going with my DB, and he loves Herbie). We'll probably go to DTD and have lunch or do some shopping until the room is ready (unless the hotel can get us in soon after arrival). I've read some reviews about other hotels not having rooms ready until several hours after check-in time (as late as 6 pm, in some cases). Of course, this was during the busier times; I was just curious as to whether NOJ is one of those busy times.

We were there at ASM last year during NOJ. I do not think our experience was an accurate assement though. It was just following one of the closings for the hurricaine. The resort was not overly crowded at all, as a matter of fact it was quite empty. We loved the resort and I do not think you will have any trouble getting a herbie room. It is the furthest building from the food court etc... but still not a very far walk. It is a very nice quiet area. I would suggest a top floor room as the toilets flushing at night and early morning bothers me. The top floor fixes that problem. I hope you have a wonderful time.

I'll have to remember to request a top floor. I'm a somewhat light sleeper, so this may be helpful.

Thanks, everyone, for your advice!
