Ryan O'Neal on Piers Morgan last night

Ryan doesn't look 70 and I don't think he's had any surgery done! Sounds like his daughter Tatum was a nightmare for he and Farrah. Somehow he was caught in a vortex where he had to choose one or the other. I've seen Tatum and Ryan interviewed and I would have to pick Ryan if I had to choose the validity of each.

I think Tatum is and was a mess for a looooog time. I also think that Ryan is a big reason why. Something about him makes me want to slap him.

From something I read years ago Farrah didn't want any part of Tatum or her brother when they got together. They shipped them off to an apartment (which they paid for) when neither one was even 18 yet.

I feel bad that she died and went through such an ordeal but I really think most of Tatum's problems started with her parents.

This situation always turns my stomach - if I had some guy would ask me to pick him over my kids, I'd pick the kids every time. AND kick him to the curb for being such a loser.

I'm sorry, but he was a totally self-absorbed person. I don't think Tatum is an angel though.

The most outrageous statement he made is that the struggles he had with his children casued Farrah's cancer. He said she might be still alive if she didn't have to be exposed to Tatum.

First, Farrah's son (with ONeal) is just as messed up at Tatum and Griffin. Second, Farrah died of anal cancer, the same type of hpv (Human Papillomaviruses) as cervical cancer. She received the virus from a male partner. I doubt Tatum had anything to do with that.

He can try and blame someone else all he wants, but his son with Farrah has been in trouble also. Sounds like their parenting skills (or lack thereof) are the problem....NOT the kids.

Actually if you looked a little closer you would probably come to the opposite conclusion. I think he is the reason Tatum is messed up. He had the nerve to say Tatum gave Farrah cancer because of her causing stress to Farrah. That is wrong on so many levels. And didn't he give her drugs and get her started on drugs in the first place? Pretty sure that is part of their history.

Well I am sure they both have major issues however I did watch Ryan & Tatum on the OWN network and I really was surprised w/Ryan's behavior. Father material - I think not. I actually felt really bad for Tatum. But, hey, it's TV - so who knows what's real.

I think they're both all kinds of messed up, and had heard too that Farrah didn't want them when he moved in with her. I don't think he's every denied that.

I also think FF was a big 'ol whack job, and he apparently wasn't far behind. Anyone who picks a boy/girl friend over their kids automatically loses any sympathy I could muster for them. Tatum's mother was an addict, so it's partly hereditary and partly lack of parently supervision/neglect with a dash of feelings of abadonment thrown in. Just my Dr. Phil version.

Tatum O'Neal was messed up, due solely to the adults in her life (and that includes her piece 'o crap stepmother, FF).

However, she is now an adult and is responsible for her own behavior and attitudes.

Ryan O'Neal is a self-absorbed jack's behind.

He's a pig, always was one, always will be. Farrah should be a poster girl for what NOT to look for in an SO, tho I'm thinking she was no prize either.

Yeah, this is the guy who was doing drugs with his son and they both got arrested. So somehow, I doubt Tatum's drugs and behavioral problems just came out of nowhere.
