OK...I was browsing another forum:rolleyes1 and they were discussing washing your rv while at the fort. Many seemed to think this was against the rules.:confused3 I can't remember reading that anywhere. I've seen a lot of people doing it; even professional crews power washing big coaches. Coming from Ohio during winter our RV often is covered in dirt, salt, and grime. We usually wash it at a campground in Ga. the night before getting to FW. However if that wasnt possible I would consider doing it while staying at the fort. Wondering what the offical stand is?

we asked that question while at the fort in Jan. the CM said it was ok. I dont remember seeing anything in writing though, either way.

I bumped an old thread, I didn't see where anyone has had a problem

Last time we were down, I washed the front end of the RV, due to the bugs. Our hook-ups had two hose attatchments, and the one attatchment already had a hose on it. A CM drove by and waved-didn't say anything.

We washed travel trailer last year and a cm was right there collecting the trash from the can and made a comment on how high the trailer was and my dh replied that it was! So I would assume that you can! At the time the whole thing was covered in soap!! LOL:laundy:

Remember Florida has water restrictions, we do a quick wash of the front of the MH when we get there mainly to get the love bugs off and use very little water and that usually takes care of it until we get home.

We were there last month. Everybody was washing there trucks and motorhomes. There was even an "RV Mobile Detail" business cleaning some of the BIG coaches.

Now that would be a cool business.:thumbsup2

If you are coming from the north on I-75 just exit at 329(one exit before the turnpike) and there is a truck/RV wash. That is what we have done for the last few years when in Florida. It was only $40 and worth it in my opinion, gives me more time to do what I want.

We stopped at the same place last year, they do a super job. Also, the coach parked next to us at FW washed his rig from front to back and then pulled out at noon. :sad2:

Last November I saw at least 2 mobile RV washing companies working on a couple RV's, so if they can do it, I'm sure it's allowed.

If the forts giving out a list of commercial detailers...That pretty much makes it official that its ok to was the ol'RV
