RV rental advice needed

Dh and I are taking the kids on a Nat'l Parks vacation this summer
and are now considering renting an RV instead of driving our van.
Any suggestions??
Where should we turn for rv rentals, any suggestions other than
rv across america?
Is there a way to find local rental companies?
I'm at a loss here as we have never rented one before, but this
sounds much more appealing than pitching a tent (which we would only
do every few days) other than that we would stay in hotels- but our family size we need 2 hotels rms.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Thanks for asking this.. we are thinking about doing this next May, but we are complete newbies. The rental price I was quoted was HIGH, too.

We are borrowing (for a donation) from a friend of ours an RV to go to Disney. We aren't staying it but but in the Pop Century but there is 10 of us so taking the RV we can all drive together and it is still better than 1/2 as much as flying and about even with driving our own vehicles all things considered but we can have a little more freedom and not be held up for all the potty breaks. But it still isn't cheap. I looked into the rental companies and they are expensive!

Most of the prices for renting RVs are high but you might also try CampingWorld when we visited last weekend they had various types of RV's for Rent. You might also try Cruise America or if you have any RV sales places in your area they frequently rent out RV's Good Luck!
