RV Loans with bad credit??

Any one out there have any info on RV loans, our credit has not been to good in the past (DH lost job, then me a few months later) We are now back on track and have been for a year, both have good jobs but I know when they pull the credit it will show that in the past it has not been to good. Any suggestions??

We barely got an RV loan couple years ago. Our credit wasn't bad, but our score had dropped because we had recently refinanced our home and took out an equity line of credit. Anyhow, the guy at the RV place told us that RV and boat loans are some of the hardest loans to get. Not sure why, but that's what he told us. We did get a loan, but not at the interest rate we were hoping. Good luck!

RV's and boats are large 'luxury' items that depreciate immediately. we bought our boat used through a Costco dealer and did well, paying pretty much in cash due to a windfall. our neighbor bought a $75,000 boat new and financed it for 30 years. the boat won't even be around by then. that's why.
