Ok, I know this is a little weird, but I thought some others might be interested in this.

My kitchen faucet in my motorhome disintegrated over the winter, so I have been looking for a good replacement. About the cheapest option I have found online for RV-specific faucets was about $35 (plus probably about $10 for shipping). And they were dog-ugly, plain faucets. I decided to go with a residential faucet, even if it meant drilling new holes, since I could get a lot more quality for my money. I went to Lowe's and found a perfect faucet for our needs... on clearance, no less! Wanna see it, here it is:

It's actually not a kitchen faucet, it's a laundry faucet. Unlike a regular kitchen faucet which has 8" (IIRC) centers for the handles, laundry faucets have 4" centers just like an RV kitchen faucet. So it fits right where the old one did (after I drilled a center hole). Why does it need a center hole? Because it is a sprayer combo, look!

With two spray settings:

Can you tell I'm excited about my new faucet? The best part? Though sprayer combo faucets usually start around $80, this one (from a no-name company, admittedly) was closer to $50... before it went on clearance for $19.54! :cool1: Anyway, I thought someone else might have a dated faucet they'd like to replace and I'm very pleased with mine. BTW, the SKU is 242498 should anybody need it.

That's a sweet faucet, Shan. I've been wanting to replace mine in the trailer ever since I bought the thing. I understand the rationale behind saving weight and such, but man, they put in the cheapest, crappiest faucets they can find.

I think maybe I'll be stopping by my local Lowes to see if they have a similar deal. I've had problems with my faucet since the trailer was new (odd leaks) and it was already replaced once.

Nice Shan!! I replaced our's with one very similar to that one a couple of years ago. We love it. The sprayer is a great feature to have. Makes rinsing large pots and pans much easier.

And Jim I agree. That plastic stuff is cheap and cheesy in the quality department for sure.

WE replaced our faucet when we bought the motorhome. A standard kitchen sink sink faucet fit. We have the one with the sprayer to. I like it.

I put one with the sprayer like that in my moho. But mine takes the kitchen type not the laundry type.

Well, I found the same faucet at the Lowes close to my work but it wasn't on clearance. They had a stack of them for $48.96 a piece. I'll pass for the time being, but keep an eye out.

Super snazzy and you certainly can't beat the price!! :thumbsup2

Gotta go troll the Lowe's clearance around here (one of our favorite pastimes).

When we bough our htt we had them change our faucet to one very similar to yours. I love having the pull out faucet when trying to clean up. Be very careful around 4 year olds though!! You may have water everywhere:goodvibes

I'm coveting one that doesn't have separate knobs for Hot and Cold. That drives me nuts when I'm washing dishes!

Sweeet.....one of things for today was to go get a replacement faucet for our tt. We wanted one with a goose neck on it so we could get the big pots and pans in it, but the one Shan pictured will work just as well......now all we have to do is luck out and find one on clearance at Lowes or Home Depot. Wish us luck today........

I had to replace my kithen faulcet after this past winter... thought I had blown all the water out...
I went ahead and got the original plastic thing.... next time I'll shop around instead of jumping to the TT store right away.

Got a question...If the city water is backing up into the water tank, does that mean my one way valve at the pump is not working right? I think I have to replace that valve.

Sounds like it to me. I think mine must be part of my pump, I don't think there is a separate anti-backflow device in my system. So, lucky you! Better a valve than a pump!

:santa:

oh I didn't think about the valve being part of the pump...... I hope it doesn't cost $$$$. The pump still works so I can fill the tank and just use the pump until I get a round tuit and have time to find the pump paperwork.

Thanks for posting this, Shan-man.
DH went by Lowe's today to see if they had it- they didn't... but they knew of other stores that had it. Unfortunately most of them didn't have it on clearance for some reason but ONE nearby did and they put it on hold for me. Till tomorrow... now I have to figure out if it's worth the gas to drive there and get it tomorrow. Gas prices are skyrocketing pretty quickly here- not sure if it's doing that everywhere? But 2 days ago it was $1.87 and then earlier Monday it was already $2.15. argh- ofcourse gas starts going up less than 2wks before we take off towing our TT to FW from Texas. OFCOURSE!

Anyway the one there is only $12.... so apparently it's clearanced even more some places. Our faucet is working right now- but we have had problems in the past with the little thing that goes on the end needing to be replaced AND it doesn't have the spray thing which I basically MUST HAVE at home- so i'd like it on the TT too..... would be nice. LOL So hmm, I'll probably go get it and maybe find some other things I want for the house and/or TT. thanks for sharing your bargain!

I'd say go get it! It'll make your TT fell so much more luxe! That really is an amazing deal! (Heck, if my store had more on hand I'd probably snap them up and sell 'em on eBay Motors for $40 each!)

:santa:

That is sweet! I'm going to go looking for one of those. My kitchen faucet leeks and it doesn't have a sprayer. I hope I find one:thumbsup2

Well i didn't make it there today so I'm sure it's not being held for me- but they said they had THREE there.... so hopefully one is still left. I'll try to go tomorrow and call before I make that drive so I won't be wasting my time. LOL
I hear you- I would totally LOVE having the hand held sprayer! I can't live without it at home! LOL

Thanks for posting this great find! I'll be looking for one also, our faucet was pretty iffy over our Thanksgiving trip and the camper is from 1996 with the original equipment.
