Any suggestions for having your RV detailed when camping at Ft. Wilderness?

Not really available inside the Fort any longer due to the noise and mess from the pressure washers disturbing other guests.

1) The main reasons
. . . The Fort cannot control the wash chemicals used
. . . what comes off the RV's can be polluting or hazardous material
. . . the pressure washers emit air pollution
. . . FW does not want chemicals-waste-HazMat on/in the ground.
2) The other reason is that we want to control the vendors inside resorts.*

* Sure, there are outside vendors supplying golf cart rentals, but it
is soon coming to an end
. WDW wants the revenue for cart rentals,
and limit the outside vendors. Some have voiced the argument that
WDW allows off-site rentals of ECV's, but WDW does not rent ECV's or
strollers out of the parks, so there is no talk of limiting these (except for
the restriction that non-approved vendors can no longer leave the ECV
or stroller at the Front Desk or Bell Services for the guest - the guest
must meet the vendor for the handoff).

Do you think the outside golf cart rentals will be stopped this year?

Curious since I have something lined up for December.

You will still be able to bring your own cart though, right?

What happened to going green???

Would like to see no more gasoline engine carts due to noise and pollution.

Ya know,

I hope the WDW management is reading this because they're smoking the crack pipe on this one. It's not hard to shut down outside vendors - but they shouldn't because the mgt are hypocritical; but that's for another day. You don't have to be a Tau Beta Pi (I'll wait here while the interns look this up):

waiting.........................................................................

got it? good.

unless they can put more money in the pockets of their guests then offsite rentals if blocked to do not translate into onsite rentals. DUH! Nobody ever accused these guys of being MENSA members.

1) Don't know when, just that it is going to happen
. . . this was rumored a while ago
. . . then it was said specifically at our August meeting
2) They will still allow you to bring your own golf cart.
. . . on a trailer
. . . in a toy hauler
. . . etc
3) WDW just wants to stop the revenue drain going to outside vendors.

NOTE: There are other vendor items/services mentioned.
These are done at resorts and other areas on-property.
It is simply a matter of redirecting revenue from others to
themselves, or take a "royalty" when they do allow vendors

When we were there in Feburary we saw that a camper pulled his RV up to the front parking lot and was having about 5 guys washing it with buckets and sponges while he sat back in his lounge chair watching. The companies truck was parked near by but forgot to write it down. Anyone know the name of that company or someone similar? Our RV was dirty when we arrived after the drive down and DH was complaining that he wanted to get it washed but we didn't know who to call to wash it. Then we saw that RV being washed and said we would do that next time but forgot the name of the company. Love your help. :thumbsup2

Since the Fort is allowing this, I'd guess they have a list of names at the front desk.

I use a bucket and sponge or brush to wash mine at home, but I use a hose to rinse it. Wonder how they might have done this in a parking lot??? And it sounds like they would have had much of the same runoff in the lot as they would have in a campsite. At any rate, I'm glad thay stopped the pressure washer in the Fort.

Although I bring my own GC, I do not want to see them limiting off site rentals. I would be more than happy if they would just police the use of approved carts in the Fort...speed, size, underage driving, etc. And if their rates were just a little more competitive, there would be no need to ban outside rentals.
