"russia" lesson plans for my 4 year old class..

Hi Everyone
For the day care center i work at, each week is a theme that we need to make our lesson plans according to....i am having a hard time with this weeks, and i need to hand it in Wednesday afternoon....

The Theme is Russia and we have to think of arts and crafts , outdoor experiments, songs...etc...

my class is 3.5-4 year olds..thanks for any help

All I can think of off-hand is making some of those nesting dolls that come from Russia (can't remember what they're called-one fits inside of the other). My parents have been there many times-I'll mention it to them tomorrow. Maybe they can suggest some food to make.

My wife is a music teacher.

Music by Tchaikovsky. He composed the "Nutcracker Suite", "1812 Overture." Maybe do a lesson plan based on these.

Music by Stravinksy. I know he did the "Firebird Suite." The music was rockified by the group "Yes."

Tchaikovsky also wrote the music for Peter and the Wolf, I believe, and I seem to remember hearing a recording of this in story form, which would be appropriate for 3-4 yr old kids.
