Apples and oranges. How can you possibly compare pre-game commentary/bantering with writing an article?
I don't believe Limbaugh was hired for his social commentary, although for the life of me, what the hell was Disney thinking? But, I digress.
A pre-game show is not the place to score points via one's political/social views. It's to talk about the game, players, plays, coaches, winner, losers, etc., and leave race out of it. It would've been equally out of place if Limbaugh has decided to insert politics into the pre-game show. It is inappropriate.
There are times and places to say things and making racial comments during a pre-game football show is inappropriate. If Limbaugh has confined himself to talking about the quarterback's mistakes or bad games, that's appropriate. But, noooo, he had to take it one step further.
