Stayed at Poly last week and had the chance to get in a few runs incorporating the new pathway from GF to MK. I've always appreciated the long'ish running path between these resorts but the addition of the extra path distance is fantastic and definitely breaks up the monotony of the back and forth if you need to get some miles in - and you really can't beat the setting. Here was my experience in case helpful for other early morning runners/walkers.
The path is gated at the new "swing bridge" over the Electrical Water Pageant access canal until 6:30am, but after that it's open and you can get all the way to where the path meets the MK boat dock. You then need to turn around (eg, you can't run all the way to CR). I asked and was nicely told no, as expected.
Note MK opened at 8am for the days I was there - I am not sure if 6:30am becomes 7:30am on days where the MK opens at 9am, or if 6:30am is standard operating procedure. Would love to hear first hand reports from anyone who happens to be out there exercising on a 9am opening day.
This was an example 4.22 mile route, which incporated one turnaround at the swing bridge (it was 6:25am, so not open yet), a loop back around VGF, then continuing back on the full path to MK and back:
