I am wanting to start running and doing local 5k type races and gradually build up. I would love to do the Disney one and perhaps the half-marathon (eventually).

The problem I have is my umm. . . chest. I am busty and it can hurt even with the sports bras I have tried. Any advice?

There seems to be several threads around breasts these days! Sorry, but I have to ask.

Go to titlenine.com, you can search for sports bra's via there dumbbells. I run (when i'm not pregnant) and do triathlons. I am "blessed" in the chest area as well. I'd go with a 5 dumbell bra. Helps with the bounce. Eventually, the pain does go away the more you run though. So just keep it up. :cheer2:

There are several good choices in running bras....but they do require some money! Champion has several....that one is my favorite. Get a bra that supports the girls individually, not a compression type. Look at the tags and find one for high impact exercise.

I second the recommendation of Champion sports bras! Their bras are ranked according to support for your size (for example, a bra that is a "maximum support" for my A cups might be only a "medium support" for someone with D cups) and they have lots of different choices.

ENELL are the best sports bras for those who are well endowed. ANd I mean WELL endowed. lol. They hold it all in place and reduce the jiggle issue.

I second the vote for Enell! I have the same problem and the Enell works! Before I got it, I had resorted to wearing 2 sports bras, but that didn't even always work. With the Enell, I have ZERO movement! It is worth every penny!

Another thought - I just popped over to the title9 site that was mentioned. I'm pretty sure the Enell is the "Last Resort Bra," their only 5 barbell bra. It looks exactly the same. Ugly but functional.

Thanks everyone.

I agree about the ones the compression ones, they don't do the trick.

I am going to check these out!

I run a lot and I do a high impact cardio/strength workout a few days a week. I love the Moving Comfort Fiona and the Glamorise sports bra.

If you order from Title Nine and the bra does not fit, they will accept them up to one year after your purchase date. If you buy and try it and don't like it, wash it and return it to a store and they donate them.

Bras that I have bought and loved from Title 9 are:

Moving Comfort Juno (racer back) Title 9 name is 7 Wonders bra This is hard to get on.

Moving Comfort Fiona (title 9 name is 3 Reasons support) Yes, it does make a uni**** and it is a compression bra, but there is little bounce. I even wear this bra for triathlons as it is so comfortable and it dries very quickly. This bra does not have an underwire, which is good if you use a heart-rate monitor when you work out (underwires interfer with the heart-rate monitor).

Glamorise Sport Soft Cup Superior Support (Title 9 name is the Hallelujah Bra). This is my favorite bra as it is comfortable and there are no seams so you can wear it as an every-day bra, not just a sports bra.

Yes, I do have an addiction to sports bras! But only because the girls are not small, they are older now, and they umm, sag more than they used to and that causes too much bounce.

Another option I have done is to wear 2 jogging bras. I love the jog bra though. I'm not necessarily that well endowed....but I need all the support I can get.

Most definitely worth the money and lasts way longer than any bra I've ever had. Its a great investment.

I dragged this thread back up because I just tried a new one today: http://www.nbwebexpress.com/detail.asp?type=WMAPSB&style=RSB9137 This website is saying $59.99 but I got it at the New Balance outlet this weekend for about $25.

Wow! Awesome, no bounce, wicking sportsbra! I love how adjustable it is. I'm short, with a short torso, so lots of times a sportsbra would work for me if it had shorter straps. These straps are completely adjustable, as is the fit cross-wise. Best of all, once you get yourself levered up and immobilized, you don't have to struggle to get it on and off - it zips down the front! I was worried I'd be hot with the higher neckline, but it was great, even running in high-80s temps with high humidity. And the higher line actually made me feel comfortable running in just this instead of a tee over it, b/c there was no overexposure. Light padding, too, for no headlights.

Just wanted to share - you know how it is when you find something that works!

Wow... there's a New Balance outlet a bit south of us, maybe I'll go check this out! I'm always on the lookout for good hi-impact bras that don't break my bank (which is a very fragile thing LOL). Thanks for the tip! :thumbsup2

I get the Nike dri-fit shirts with the built in bras. I am in no way super-endowed but well... those suckers aren't going anywhere!

Thank you for the recommendation! I'm going to order one after I measure to get the best fit. I'm also going to ask for one for Christmas, since they are pricey. I bought shoes for over $100 and haven't worn them much, since I didn't have a good bra to run in. Now I can order and get going.
