Running on Fumes from Start to Finish

When we arrived back to the room, the first thing I expected to see was Alex awake and ready for the day. This was not the case. This meant that not only did Steve and I need to shower and get ready for breakfast, but so did Alex. I had not planned for this when picking a time for breakfast.

We tried to hurry the best we could. Steve was moving rather slow and so was Alex. I was not feeling up to being task master. I was starting to feel a tad stressed though about getting to breakfast on time since we were quickly approaching the time of the reservation.

As we left the room, Steve and I took a turn toward the parking lot since we were driving the rental to breakfast. Alex had not paid attention to our instructions. He turned the opposite direction. Leading our small pack, I did not notice. I reached the car and sat inside. Soon Steve got into the car. Then we waited. We waited some more. Oh, yes... and we waited some more. I was not sure what could have happened to my dear son. The parking lot was almost visible from our room. I knew it could not take him THAT long to reach the car, so I decided to go hunt for him. Given that we were running very late by this point and that I didn't feel like walking any more than I had to I was not happy to have to hunt for him. POR is not the smallest of resorts. I did find him though and we go back to the car and on our way.

Ugh ugh and UGH! God bless clueless teens but oh they will try your patience!

When we finally arrived, Kouzzina had closed its doors for breakfast. We were told that since they still had customers though and that since we had had a reservation (that Kira, Josh and Zoe had actually made it on time for)they would still serve us. Given that Kouzzina is closing I am really glad that they were able to accommodate us given that I will never be able to dine here again.

I am glad you got to eat and am sad it is closing. I am not sure if we will try to eat there given the news, or not. Sounds like the food was decent though!

I'm glad you finally made it to breakfast, but sorry you weren't able to eat much. And I'm happy you got one last meal there...I know you are disappointed it is closing. Those waffles do look really good.

I just realized that when we were running late and having to park in the back 40.. since I have a TIW card, I could have used valet parking for free. Oh well.. we got there and while I didn't get to eat all my meal it was still enjoyable. Those pecan waffles with honey and marscapone cheese were quite good.

Josh and his critters. Does he do that often at the parks?

Honestly, too much. I love him. He is a great guy and he provides very well for my daughter but had settle into a career that was not his passion. (but he is super good at and hence why he provides well) He is a published biologist. He is still offered grants by the state to conduct studies. Personally, I could care less about the critters he wants to find and study. I would just assume let them live their lives away from me (thank you very much) I also think there is a time for things and I kinda feel like the parks may not be the best time for critter hunting. BUT - I can appreciate it is his vacation too. So as long as he doesn't get into trouble or cause any one any grief. I turn a blind eye. When he did his impromptu "lesson" to children passing by outside MK, the kids and parents were quite thrilled. So maybe it isn't as annoying as I find it... :rotfl:

I'm glad you all got to ride Test Track, even if not all together.

So Josh (since we are talking about my ds in law) he works for a competitor company. Lets just say that I am glad I didn't get to ride with him on TT. I guess he does nothing but complain about Chevy the entire time. (and guess what? Steve and I are both Chevy people.. both drive Chevy's and have for a very long time. I so dread when our current cars need replacing. :rotfl:)

Ugh ugh and UGH! God bless clueless teens but oh they will try your patience!

I love my Alex. He is a tender soul. He is such a good kid, but he is quite oblivious. He is his father's son. I just could have about killed him. There I was trying to wrangle Steve too... cause he was moving so slow and not sure where he was headed. Then Alex goes the complete opposite direction. Course... I suppose really the person this really falls more on is me. I know how they both are and I also know that they both were moving terribly slow. So why then did I feel the need to rush and get to the car. If I had just slowed my own self down some of this confusion they both had in where to go would have been avoided.

I am glad you got to eat and am sad it is closing. I am not sure if we will try to eat there given the news, or not. Sounds like the food was decent though!

I always enjoy the food there but the service has always been a bit lacking. Maybe that is whey it is closing? It is one of the more unique breakfast options though and so I really am finding picking a new post race breakfast to be a challenge.

I'm bummed that Kouzinna is closing! We ate there in 2012 for dinner and enjoyed it, but I have wanted to do breakfast there forever! I kept putting in on my list and then never being able to fit it in and now it's too late. Those sweet potato hashbrowns sounded so good. I wonder what's to come??? I haven't heard anything yet, just that it's something new. (duh)

I am extremely bummed. I need to come to some kind of decision in regards to where I want to eat by friday. (ADR day) I could see doing anything from CRT to Captains Grille to any number of places!! Kouzzina was just such a good option. Good recovery food after a race - Salt, protein and fat. As for what might go in... I have read all kinds of speculation. Who knows....

Ann, I spent the last three weeks with Tom in Bad Hofgastein. Not having a weekend to catch up on work didn't leave me much DIStime. I did read here, but just did not have time to comment.

First thing I thought about when I heard about Kouzzina closing was - "Where will Ann have her post race breakfasts now?" :lmao:
I am not a happy bunny about it, because we really liked the food and really enjoyed breakfast there last summer. :goodvibes

Thank you for remembering me! I know - Kouzzina closing is quite a big deal to me. While service has been not 100% the food certainly has been good.

Is Tom home now? Is he feeling better?

So I had thought we would get up and hit rope drop at MK. Steve disagreed. We disagreed until 2am.

Ugh.

Sadly no... and even more sadly... I was the one internalizing it more. After the fact, Steve was like "we had an argument?"

Double ugh.

I love sticking to a plan even if that plan is just a loose "we will be here for the morning and there for the afternoon." Usually it is when we follow a plan that we are able to fit "extras" in.

For as much as the two of them can fight, he is truly kind to his little sister on occasion. Notice I didn't give up my sweatshirt. Yeah... I am not as nice a person apparently.

I have the same experience with plans.

Maybe the pictures are wrong, but you look kind of cold, or like you would be cold if you took off a layer, so that's OK you didn't give it up. After all, other people were there! :)

We have not done it all that often, in fact I believe this was the guys first time. Steve enjoyed it so much that we ended up doing it a second time. AND we did get a different character. The teachers are really good about asking who has drawn what and trying to offer something new for the majority.

I love Animation Academy! Our issue is what to do with the pictures. We have a huge stack from all our DCA visits. :)

Though I gotta say that I personally like the way they do it in Anaheim, where they have a schedule and the schedule board is outside (at least this is how they did it the last time I was there!) and that's just what they do. I didn't appreciate the majority rules thing at DHS, because it took time!

It was quite gross. I think so many people were ill or would soon be ill that were there during marathon weekend. :sad2:

I think so too. :3dglasses

At that point though, Alex had really come down with whatever bug we all would end up catching. He coughed and hacked all night.. keeping Steve awake until he finally slept on the floor.

Having been there done that, oh poor Alex. Sounds like the rest of you got it once home? So much different than being away from home. As soon as you described that, I pictured us at All Star Music, in the family suite, me just coughing ALL danged night and hoping that my aunt and cousin could sleep just a bit. DS was sleeping, he was there next to me, but they were in the living room area and I didn't know.

Oh my gosh though... I JUST this second as I was typing that realized that we will be off to run the half and what happens with Zoe? :faint: :scratchin do the services operate that early? Or maybe a 10 year old is old enough to stay in the room by herself? :confused3 This definitely is going to take some thought.

I was going to use http://www.kidsniteout.com/sitter_services.html if my aunt coudln't have come. They don't normally allow late night/early morning starts, but for the Marathon weekend they had different rules. They are expensive! Might well be cheaper to just pay for your son and not worry about him being 18 for this particular trip. But I would have used them anyway.

I now that I may not make friends saying this. However, I do not feel sympathy for these people at all. I kinda felt like they should have been taken away then and there. If you want to not have to run in a corral with a lot of people or have plenty of time for pictures, then do the work... and train. Or bare minimum accept the place you are in your journey. That is what Steve did after all.

....I can certainly appreciate not wanting to start with this many people..

TMI, but I can't tell you how many doors I opened only to immediately close them. YUCK.

I totally agree with you. I mean heck, I *want* to start up in B. Doesn't mean I'm allowed to be there.

I stopped to use the "facilities" on some stretch maybe leaving MK, I think there was a gas station nearish there (shoulda used the gas station), and there was one unit that people were avoiding. I chose to trust the people around me who had already peeked and nearly fainted in horror. Others kept coming up and looking, hoping that we were all just stupid, LOL. I still don't know what was going on in that john, but I'm GLAD to not know!

But I can definitely see for someone used to never walking, it felt like a ton. That completely makes sense and I am sure seemed much bigger, or worse in your mind at the time than maybe it was.

I agree.

I remember reading, while preparing for the TOT last year, that it seemed to really mess with peoples' minds if they needed to walk when they hadn't prepared for it. The trail got to some people big time. Of course I do walk/run/walk anyway, but I decided right then that I was just going to walk through the trail. And I did. My mind messes with my mind enough as it is; I didn't need external factors messing with it too!

Well, at least they made it in the door. But wow, I can only imagine how much worse it got as the morning went on for the later runners.

As a later runner, I agree. :)

Oh, my gosh, I hear you on the porta potties after the race! I bought the race retreat (won't do it again) for the PHM and believe me, the porta potties there were EVERY bit as bad! I don't have this running problem, so I can't imagine the poor people trying to make it in there by the skins of their teeth!

I didn't stop to use the facilities at all for 13.1 miles, and I didn't realize how difficult finding a clean one would be after the race!

I didn't find gross portapotties at the retreat at the Half...so that definitely varies! You are SO lucky to not have that problem... I'm still trying to work on diet etc to figure out how to just have a nice race without stopping, but...

IThere I was trying to wrangle Steve too... cause he was moving so slow and not sure where he was headed. Then Alex goes the complete opposite direction.

Aw, don't blame yourself. You are you and they are them, and it sounds like Steve was a bit messed up from his run which isn't always to be expected... Plus I bet it was you that did all the work to get the ADRs, so you wanted to be there on time!

Wow the TOT stuff is coming up fast! The 6th marks when I can start to obsess over trying to get something DVCish for the W&D. But for you it's ADRs! Guess that means it's a month and a few days for my own ADRS. Probably should have a chat with my buddy who is traveling with me. (and I should probably nail down a hotel for Disneyland, eh?)

First thing I thought about when I heard about Kouzzina closing was - "Where will Ann have her post race breakfasts now?" :lmao:

Ann already knows that I thought the same thing!

Whew, glad to be caught up with THIS report!

I finally got caught up on your race report. Congratulations on your great finish time! And your race outfit was adorable. :goodvibes

That was interesting to hear that the security kicked people out of the wrong corral. It is hard to run around the slow people who sneak into the faster groups. I'm glad to hear that this race tries to keep people in their proper groups.

I still have bad memories about a particular port-a-pottie encounter I had when I ran in the Disney half-marathon many years ago. It was a very dark morning and there weren't any lights in this particular area. :scared1: I've run in a lot of races but for some reason these port-a-potties remain the messiest ones I have ever encountered.

Maybe the pictures are wrong, but you look kind of cold, or like you would be cold if you took off a layer, so that's OK you didn't give it up. After all, other people were there! :)

I was! But... I want to say that Alex had already tied off his jacket to his waist. He gets overheated easily.

I love Animation Academy! Our issue is what to do with the pictures. We have a huge stack from all our DCA visits. :)

I didn't appreciate the majority rules thing at DHS, because it took time!

I have only one that has made it home somewhat intact. Then once home it just goes into the stack of papers we brought home. That is interesting that they don't ask the class what to draw down in DCA. I imagine that does save some time.:thumbsup2

Having been there done that, oh poor Alex. Sounds like the rest of you got it once home? So much different than being away from home. Alex basically got it once we landed. Steve got it once we were in OKW. I didn't get it until our last day in the parks. Josh got it once we were home and the girls never got it.

::yes:: that is who I plan to use too. I even printed out a coupon for them. It is pricey... but still cheaper than bringing Alex. Now... if Zach were to come... he would pay his own flight and park tickets so then it might be tempting to not schedule the kidsniteout people. I will admit though, a stranger in my room with my kid makes me a little uneasy.

I totally agree with you. I mean heck, I *want* to start up in B. Doesn't mean I'm allowed to be there.

Ya know, I know that I take kinda a harsh stand. I know there are some out there who might argue that due to reasons beyond their control they will never be able to be in A or B or any of the earlier corrals... and how is it fair that they can't be there when they are training the best they can. Well.. I know that I probably will never be in those early corrals (I was in C before the new changes, but probably will not be again) I make a choice to not make changes to my training that "might" impact my pace. I do train. I do run 4 days a week. However I realize it probably isn't in the way I need to in order to improve my pace. So guess what? I am ok with that and I accept that this is where I am. I don't say poor me. I don't figure out a way to cheat. I accept that I am at the pace I am and thus get placed in the corral I get placed in. If I want something different, then I will make a change to what I do in my training.

I stopped to use the "facilities" on some stretch maybe leaving MK, I think there was a gas station nearish there (shoulda used the gas station), and there was one unit that people were avoiding. :rotfl2: I wish I did not know the line at the family reunion area were in the state they were.

I agree.

That trail!!! I think in general the WWOS area is always peoples least favorite area to run. Personally... I can live with it. It is on the narrow side and the trail can be a tad rocky. Still... I kinda like the change from running the highway.

I didn't find gross portapotties at the retreat at the Half...so that definitely varies! You are SO lucky to not have that problem... I'm still trying to work on diet etc to figure out how to just have a nice race without stopping, but...

I definitely have days where it is more a problem than others. I really should pay attention to what is making it less a problem.

Aw, don't blame yourself. You are you and they are them, and it sounds like Steve was a bit messed up from his run which isn't always to be expected... Plus I bet it was you that did all the work to get the ADRs, so you wanted to be there on time!

Well, it isn't that I blame myself... but I know that they are who they are and I can't expect them to behave differently. I was the one plugging along knowing that they probably wouldn't keep up.

It is... all of it is. I am kinda excited that you are doing the W&D and I am not. Gives me a chance to live vicariously. I do someday want to do that one... but have to keep the ToT and now the AHM for a while.... so there is my fall.

And yeah... DLH... you probably should nail something down. :goodvibes

Ann already knows that I thought the same thing!

I am really hate that they are closing! UGH!!

Whew, glad to be caught up with THIS report!

I am just impressed you did!!! :goodvibes

I finally got caught up on your race report. Congratulations on your great finish time! And your race outfit was adorable. :goodvibes

Thank you!!!

That was interesting to hear that the security kicked people out of the wrong corral. It is hard to run around the slow people who sneak into the faster groups. I'm glad to hear that this race tries to keep people in their proper groups.

With so many runners, I feel like it is important for everyone to stay in the place with like paced runners. I am very glad that security was watching. I just kinda wish that when they started to push back that they were immediately disqualified. I have a problem with entitlement.... and these people definitely felt entitled!!

I have never before seen anything like I did that day... and I hope to never again! I wonder if there are just so many people both running and spectating that it isn't as easy for them to be maintained on race day?

I can't believe I have been so neglectful with this report. I am so sorry. :flower3:

Lets see... so Kira and I rode TT once we got back to Epcot. From there it was time to meet up with Josh, Alex and Zoe.

They were getting hungry. Josh was wanting to get his favorite nachos in mexico. PERFECT! I wanted to get a rita at La Cava del Tequila!

I apologize because I really didn't take many pictures the rest of this day. I know it is ridiculous, but I was just that tired that I think taking pictures was just "too much".

So I went in to get my pomegranate margarita while they got food outside. I ran in to Alex first who told me they had a table. Then I found Josh who wanted to know where Kira was. Then I discovered Josh had one spot and Kira another. :confused3 Neither of them wanted to give up their spot. Ultimately, Kira did and we sat near the water in the dinning area of La Cantina. Josh was not particularly happy though. His favorite nachos were changed. This was kinda an on going theme for him... changes made didn't impress him. I know we all have things we wish that Disney would leave alone. However, I think we also all know that change is just a part of what keeps Disney exciting. The thrill of always trying something new is what keeps me coming back...even if that means occasionally I have to lose something I love. (good bye Kouzzina :sad2:)

I am going to point something out to you all at this point. Something that perhaps you are noticing, but perhaps like me.. you are not. I got up after about 4 hours of sleep. I ate part of a bagel (oh...did I forget to mention that Steve forgot his in the room so I shared mine prerace??), I had some eggs, a lot of coffee, a croissant, most of my bacon and some potatoes at breakfast (remember I couldn't eat all my meal) I had a full bottle of hard pear cider (yum) and now it was lunch time. I had a margarita and a piece off of the churros that Alex and Zoe had. (do you all sense some foreboding here???)

After lunch (which, btw was a pretty late lunch since breakfast was around 11am but we were SO late) we walked around a bit. Then decided we would head out through the International Gateway. The kids had a dinner reservation to get to at Cape May. I was going to meet Steve at DHS for dinner.

I walked with the kids as far as the turn off to go to the BW. I thought about taking the boat from there to DHS, but ended up walking the entire way. Our dinner reservation was for Brown Derby. Steve and I were both so excited! :woohoo: We had wanted to dine there for a very long time yet never had.

Steve arrive to DHS first. He went in and checked in for our meal. Meanwhile, I was trying to hoof it as fast as I could (didn't I already run a half marathon that day??:confused3) I may have been a tad sweaty by the time I reached the restaurant.

We were taken back to our table fairly quickly. I will admit, I was expecting... expecting more from the ambiance. I think it was where we were seated. I could see that there seemed to be more of a "dinning room" below us... and we were up more on a walkway. Our table was a small table that was up against a railing and I believe near the kitchen.(given how many servers walked back and forth by us.)

I can't remember if we ordered first or if bread was just brought to us. It must have been brought first since I see a menu on the table still. I took a picture of the butter. Really kind of standard butter, but what is important to notice in this picture is our table. Notice the plate the butter is on nearly sits atop the plate used for a piece of bread. That is because the plate is on the edge of the table. Notice how close to the menu the butter plate then is. The menu itself is up agains the railing. Tiny table...

We ordered at some point and our food came out in a timely manner. Steve had ordered the duck while I ordered the cob salad.

Our server offered to mix my salad together for me. I am so glad I opted to do it myself. I was unaware that it was predominately a parsley salad. I know there were other greens in it, but mostly it was parsley. I was able to eat around it some, but most of what was in that bowl was left at the restaurant. It was so bitter I just couldn't eat it. Good thing that I was able to eat a bread roll.

With lots of room left in my belly, I knew I had to try the grapefruit cake.

This was very good! Steve and I shared, but I am sure I had more than he did. I was starving at this point, but I really couldn't understand what was happening. You know how when a baby is hungry and they don't eat and they just get fussier cause they are more uncomfortable? ::yes:: that was kinda what was starting to happen to me. So for dinner I managed to get down a roll, a few bites of salad and 1/2 to 3/4 of a piece of cake.

After dinner Steve and I decided to walk back to meet the kids. It was a beautiful night for a stroll back along the canal. We met a lovely couple along the way who were out just enjoying the calm of the night.

We sat with them a while and the female chatted at us. Neither of them moved though and we literally were sitting with them on the edge of the walk.

Since we had been enjoying the company of our new friends, the kids had time to walk over and meet up with us. Josh had not yet been to that walk way. I figured he would love that walk. We decided since Epcot was still open we would walk over that way. We stopped in at the model DVC room. So nice!

As we were leaving it started to sprinkle a tad. By the time we made it around to the edge of the boardwalk it was torrential! It was warm though so no one wanted to hurry. I however did not like the idea of being soaked. I tried to stay with everyone as long as I could, but the rain was coming down so hard it was becoming hard to see. So the further I got from them, the less I could tell exactly where they were. I thought they were all together, but they too were splitting up. I ran to the restrooms outside the gate and toweled off. I assumed that they too would meet me there. No one was responding to texts or calls. The rain was THAT bad. I made my way through the gate and into the store.

Funny side note, I was trying to touch base with everyone to find where we had all scattered too. I overheard someone ask a cm how far it was around WS. They were trying to determine if they had enough time that night to try and get around. That cm got another cm and they started to go on about how it was like 13 miles or something. I couldn't stay quiet. Having just run 13 miles I knew very well how far 13 is. I interjected. :rotfl: I told the poor guest that there was no way it was that far. Maybe 3 miles. The cm's insisted a bit until I said that I had just run the donald... and that goes from epcot to MK and back.

I got ahold of Steve and he told me that he was at the gift store at the front of the park. So I left the gift store.

On my way to the front of the park, I reconnected with Kira. She and Josh and Alex were in club cool. Since the rains were not letting up, I decided to stop in there. Seriously, there could not have been more rain!

I braved it a bit more to make my way to the front of the park. My phone was dying or Steves was dying or both... I can not remember. I do know that I could not find him and I could not reconnect. I decided that I would just head back to POR and hope everyone made it out of Epcot ok.

I was never more happy to see a bus than when I say a bus there. I was so very very soaked. I can't remember a time in my life where I was more soaked. Not even the day that I got wet in DTD just days before. There was a lady who came up to our bus very angry. She wanted to get back to the swan or the dolphin.... and there were no buses. She was demanding that the bus driver take her. I remember vaguely that he tried to call dispatch or he tried to tell her there were no buses that ran to either of those resorts. Either way it only angered her more. I tried to tell her that it wasn't a bad walk out through the international gateway. I remember being struck by daggers then. :rotfl: She snapped at me and said something along the lines of not at night and or not in the rain...either way, I backed off. I couldn't help but think to myself that I ran a half marathon that day and still managed to walk between epcot and DHS twice. I can't remember what happened with the woman. She didn't get on our bus though and we didn't go to the swan or dolphin.

Once I was back to the room, I think I showered and most definitely got into dry clothes.

It was some time before Steve and the kids made it back to the room. I was just beginning to get worried.

Apparently, when Steve said "front of the park" he meant international gateway. So he was outside the store I was in. He must have been coming in one door as I was exiting out the other. Someone in the store gave Zoe a rain poncho. (apparently they took pity on a dad who looked like he didn't have a clue ) Then Steve found Kira, Josh and Alex and so they decided to watch illuminations together before heading out of the park.

At this point, It dawned on me how little I had actually ate that day. I was so extremely shaky. It was almost painful. No one wanted to go with me to Riversidemill though. So I went by myself. I decided on getting make your own pasta with cheesecake. I brought it back to the room. This was one of the best decisions I made all day!! The pasta was perfect and the cheesecake amazing!! Having it in the room though did mean I had to share a bit, but that was ok by me. I was just happy to be eating...finally.

Once I was done though, I was still a bit delirious. I laid down in my spot on the bed and found that it didn't smell right. Alex is still making fun of me for what came next. I had a bit of a meltdown... a laughing/crying meltdown. See the pillow smelled like Alex's head. I know.. gross, but I know the smell of each of my kids heads. Maybe it comes from when they were babies when I would breath in their smell... but then once they started getting "stinky" stopped so I just know each of their scents... and this was definitely Alex's. So I was giggling and crying (not really tearful crying just boo hoo whining) and saying my pillow was stinky.. Steve and Alex were both laughing at me which only added to my giggling. But then this was serious! Which led me to a break of boo hoo... which made them laugh at me more. Which made me laugh... OH it was a vicious cycle of laughter and whining. :rotfl2:

Ultimately, it was a big deal. I mean.. Alex had the plague remember? Who wants to share a pillow with someone who has had the plague. :rotfl2: I wasn't particularly happy with housekeeping for this. It made me realize that they must just toss the pillows in a heap (where? on the floor? who knows???) and then redistribute them as they make the beds.

It was very late by the time we all settled down. It had been a VERY long day. I was asleep before I knew it.

Other than Steve going back to the resort and us missing a couple fp+ reservations we really did stay on track pretty well that day. Even though it really didn't feel like it. :rotfl:

Totally identify with how you felt that day!i wasn't really hungry at all, but I knew I should eat, but all I wanted to do was nibble on things. I was VERY spacy all day and since I was by myself, I had no one to tell me I was a bit off the wall. I only realized it in retrospect lol.

:sad2: I am sorry you didn't have anyone to help you realize it. Not that I really did either... I went all day trying to figure out things for the others. It wasn't until it became very obvious that I needed to eat that I took care of it myself.

you actually did get most of your list done but....it just sounded a bit more stressful and unfun on several levels than I am sure you hoped for.

I am glad you finally got some food into you but sad that BD was basically a pretty big flop on many levels. After a race like that, especially as your day went on, I can see where the lack of protien didn't balance out what little you did eat and anyone would be shaky, race or not! Glad you finally got something in you but :rolleyes2 that you had to fetch it yourself and then share on top of it.

Figures huh.

exactly. We did really stick the the plan for the most part. It was just a bit stressful.

BD was weird. I don't know. It could have been that my palate was off. Steve didn't care for one of the ways his duck was prepared. It had too much... I forget what alcohol it is they use. It has too much.

As for finally getting food in me. Yeah... I really should have figured it out sooner. I am lucky I didn't actually have my blood sugar bottom out.

As for sharing and getting it myself.... yeah.. that is just par for the course. I love my family... they just rely on me a lot. :goodvibes

Joining in! I have read through some of your TR.. Your trip looks like it was a blast!

Wow - sorry I missed this update.

Darn - I can really feel your pain. I have been both that tired and hungry and its so NOT a good feeling! Sorry your BD meal was not what you had hoped. I know a lot of people love the Cobb Salad but it just looks like a bowl of mush to me. :rotfl: I guess I like bigger pieces.

Ugh to the rain and the annoying lady on the bus. So glad you got some yummy pasta. I have had that make you own pasta before and its really good!

I hope you feel much better in the morning after a good night's sleep.
