Running at WL?

Last time we stayed at BLT and asked about running trails, they told us to take the boat to WL and use the trails there. Seemed like a hassle, and I think the boats didn't run early enough, so we just ran past MK to the end of the pathway and back a few times. It sure beat running up and down the parking lots at AK, but that's another story.

Now we're thinking of trying VWL for the first time. I sort of recall seeing somewhere a sketch of running trails in the area, but I can't find it.

Does anyone know the map I mean, or has anyone stayed there and run and can give a first hand account of what's available there?

1) There are running paths at WL/VWL.
2) They are drawn out on the hotel map that every guest gets.
3) You can make a 1-mile run or a 2-mile run.

WL/VWL also has a couple of unpaved trails in addition to the paved trail. All go to/from FW. I have photos of the trails on the first page of the WL thread that I linked to above.

We also love running at Sturdy Branches which is the gym inside VWL. I have many photos of the gym also on the first page of the WL thread.

There is a path from Wl to the campgrounds. Once you get to the campground there are lots of paths and routes you can take. It's easy to get lost. Luckily I always ran into people walking that were able to point me back in the right direction.

I think this is the best resort to run at. Enjoy. You might see some deer if your lucky.

There is a nice trail that you can connect to from WL just behind the bike rental to go to FW and as mentioned, lots of trails around FW.
