PRICE DROP ALERT! If you booked, see if you are eligible for a flight credit!

When the Southwest fares came out last week, the cheapest out of PVD to MCO was $139 plus tax. I just checked the same dates this morning and there are $109 flights and $89 flights (during the weekdays). I also checked Manchester and there are $109 flights!

The flight I was looking at last weeek (sept 2 and 9) is now $70 cheaper per person round trip! Glad to see they lowered them, I ended up booking Jet Blue b/c they were $80 cheaper per person. Maybe I will consider them now for December!

I booked yesterday for $109 each way, certainly not the best I've ever gotten, but something I could live with. lol.

Oh, the summer a couple of years back, that I got $49 each way! ;)

Hartford prices actually went up!! Would love to sneak in extra days, but not with those prices. Did see PVD & MHT, but too far for us.

Congrats on the lower prices. Keep the faith for us BDL people.:goodvibes:goodvibes

It must be b/c of Jet Blue out of Boston, they have been running $50 to $80 less r/t for the fall. I guess BDL is far enough away...

Thanks! One of the ways did go down, the other is still at 152 (there is ONE 109, first thing in the morning, but that'd take away ALL day at the parks!!)

Just rebooked my flights and saved $60. Now I just need to figure out what to do with the $60 credit.

I swear BDL is like the forgotten airport. It gets no love from any of the airlines. It is such a nice airport. Not busy, easy to get around and good facilities. I'm closer to HPN than BDL but still, I'd rather go out of BDL than any of the NYC airports.

Has anyone heard a rumor about Jet Blue coming to BDL? Maybe then we would get better rates from SW!

Our flights put of Providence to Orlando on 10/14 dropped $10. Our return flight from Orlando to Providence on October 30, dropped $30. So total $40 drop... :)

I booked today MHT (Manchester, NH) to Orlando for early October. When fares were first released the price was $149 EACH WAY. :scared1: Got them today for $109 each way. Not great, but I can live with it.

Our prices for August from PVD to MCO were $139 each way when they were released. :scared1: That's adds up fast with 5 people. Today they were down to $109 each way. Still not like the old days when we got $79 or even $49. but I think those days are over. :sad2: At least with $109, I got my DH to agree to book it. I do wonder if they'll go down further but I was too nervous they'd go up to gamble anymore. At least it's done! :goodvibes

Question - when you have already booked your Southwest flights and the price goes down, how do you take advantage of the lower fare without being penalized?

They issue you a flight credit that needs to be used within a year of the booking. Unfortunately for us, we received a credit last year but couldn't use it because we booked in April last year and flew in August. We're flying in August again this year but in order to use the credit we would've had to fly in April. :sad2:

Agreed!! We live on the shoreline and BDL is about 60 miles from us. PVD is about 100 +-. BDL is just so familiar. Would be willing to try PVD, but the price would have to be right. Haven't flown out of Westchester since 1986 and that was corp. before children.

Right now, BDL to Orlando for 4/9-4/11 is $228 one way. Already booked in February, but wanted to squeeze maybe a weekend out of it. Now I would have to pay full price for a Value room, but if I could get $109 or lower for the weekend, that would be great especially as ISP was running $89 nonstop as of this morning. No parking at ISP. Don't want to deal with JFK or LGA and their parking per day is just out-of-sight. CT limo for 4 is over $200. Parking at BDL under $10/day and car is safe, people are friendly, and just the overall feeling at BDL is a positive one--it just flows.

I keep checking as I see the movement at PVD & MHT, I really don't want to deal with the late night return on the 20th as school and work awaits.

Keeping the faith; hope to get some extra sun, but, oh well, at least we have our original plan in place.:goodvibes:goodvibes

SW never charges change fees. Just click on change air reservation, enter conf #, and 'change' to cheaper fare, even if it's the same flight. Credits are stored with conf. # so you must save that for future use. It's not traceable to if you lose it, you're stuck.

No price drop in Philly. We paid $105 and now it's up to $128, some higher. Still good to book asap.

My PHL-MCO dropped to $98 from $105. Grant it, it isn't the $49 fares of 2 years ago, but I am still happy.
