Run Disney 2014 shoes

Hello all DIS'ers!! I am starting a new healthy lifestyle and I am going to start running (ok really walking first then running). I would really like to get a pair of the new 2014 Run Disney New Balance shoes. Is anyone going to be going to the marathon this week that would be willing to get a pair for me????

Have you tried out the New Balance 860s and/or 890s and made sure they would work for you? I wouldn't buy (or have someone else buy) running shoes until I got a proper fitting from a good running store and made sure to choose the best shoes for my foot and gait.

Just because the NB 860s and 890s are the ones Disney chose to make doesn't mean they are the ones you should chose to wear. I think buying running shoes based on look or advertising instead of feel is an injury waiting to happen. YMMV.

I agree. If you are going to start running seriously then you need to go to a proper running store and get sized. The store will measure you, find your gait, tell you whether you pronate, have high arches, etc. While I do love the Run Disney shoes, they are not the correct type of shoe for me and would give me some serious injuries if I used them.

I will be in Orlando for the Tower of Terror 10 Miler this fall and am planning on getting a few pairs of shoes at that time. I do not wear NB running shoes, so DW and I will be getting the runDisney shoes for our everyday shoes rather than to use for running.
