So, I've been away. Am not caught up here at all. Hope everyone's been doing well. I was away in Mexico then I went to watch my son and his team compete at his conference championships...which they won. Next stop NCAA championships! Then he finally comes home for the summer!!
Our trip is approaching quick. I got my FP+ done. Did online check in.
Frustrated to note the 5:00 close still listed for AK in July...really?? Of course I couldn't book any evening FP due to this...
Also noted the Star Wars dessert parties are extended into late June...but none listed for July....so I'm still checking daily for both parks....
Will this madness ever end???

I hear ya, Marlyn. We've been having a mini-RoL experience over at the SW thread because of the dessert party bookings. They showed up as dates in the calendar, but no one could book until about 24 hrs later. So there was a lot of frustrated attempts to book, and practicing patience. Not all of us are Jedi and Strong with the Patience Pants…

Anyways, we're celebrating like wild Ewoks that June 5th and beyond are open for booking. If only our Lounge Friends could book their dining packages for the substitutiary locomotion Jungle Book on a River of Light show. If the dessert parties are any indication, the dates may appear but not bookable until the following morning. We had reports of success 6-6:30am, so prior to 7am.

Now that SW dessert party is booked, I'm ready to towards the Jungle Book dinner package.

No it will not. Hoping they have this up and running for August who have lost a lot if attractions. Dinosaur, closed. Just saw this morning more closures that affect some August guests ... Muppets, One Man's Dream, Swiss Family and Riverboat. I think 2016 is gonna be a stinker year for guests.

And add insult to AK injury .................. DINOSAUR is closing July 25th-Sept 29th for renovation ............ bummer!!

If you ask me, they should just close it down and do something different with the ride. It was the only ride at WDW and Universal that my DS7 came walking out off and say "mommy, please don't make me go on that one again!" And that boy loves thrill rides and dinosaurs more than life!

BTW, the dreaded T-Rex at the end wasn't working when we were on. And even though the ride had a posted wai ttime of 30 minutes (for whatever reason!) it was walk on and there was only one other person in the car besides my son and I.

Turns out the rumor about her leaving was just a short term absence. I look forward to getting back to see her. She also appears at DLR, but it's just not the same.

It is madness at this point, and I am beyond frustrated.For cryin' out loud Disney has had more than enough time to get their act together. This fiasco has gone on long enough, and everyone's emails to Disney have received the same generic response. I mean super busy July is coming up to the plate, and our plans are still hanging on the edge of a cliff.

Yeah, 2 months certainly wouldn't be enough to redo the ride. I still think they should change it though to something else. Like Indiana Jones. Now THAT ride is awesome at DL!

Heard its good but I don't see it for AK. Especially with other Lucas stuff at DHS, I could see it replacing the show down the road.

I was just mentioning Indy because it has the same ride mechanism. It doesn't have to be Indy but that ride sure is an indicator that you can do something cool with that sort of ride.

Maybe they are releasing them one month at a time? Although, for the life of me, I can't figure out why.... I will keep checking the site, and the Star Wars thread and crossing fingers. It's messing my plans though. Have to leave some evenings open for Studios and Animal Kingdom...just in case

PS What college and sport?

Track & Field, University of Alaska-Anchorage. They won the Great North West Athletic Conference Championships (both indoor and outdoor track). Beat out much bigger teams from Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana. The Alaska team is small in numbers, but mighty on the track!!

That's my concern...July is super busy. To not have park hours listed is aggravating. Magic kingdom closes at 10:00 on the evening of EPCOT EMH. I suspect it won't actually close at 10:00, but don't know for sure. So, I have planned to go to Epcot for EMH, but will likely change my plans if MK opens later. It's frustrating to say the least
