Wow - I feel for you all having to stake out FP again. That's the only thing I am glad about this situation with the delay - that I do not have to do that anymore. Hopefully they will have them ready soon

Today is my 50th and my coworkers didn't do a cake or invite me to lunch. They did decorate my office and give me a couple of gag gifts. Am I wrong to be disappointed?

Hope you have a great day--Happy Birthday! When I worked, I always made brownies to have them celebrate with me. Nobody ever did anything for anyone's birthday. I think it's awesome that they decorated your office and gave you silly gifts.

Gosh, I'm so sorry that all of you are going to have to go through this all over again. Just reading your reports of midnight searches, I feel the stress and frustration all over again. Those of us with trips coming up sooner than the PLANNED OPENING dates in May and June won't be able to experience these wonderful new attractions, but at least we know (or should I say HOPE) that they SHOULD be up and running by our NEXT trip without all the stress of watching, waiting, calling, hoping, swearing, screaming, hollering, crying....

Good luck everyone, from all of those who have done this before!!

I'm sure there will be new things to stress about at that time!

In my experience if it is early in the day it will be the next day after lunch. Later evening you run into maybe being the day after next. If you are worried you can always have them sent to the front of the park as long as you are staying a while and pick them up on your way out. We have done this a lot when Epcot fell as our last day!

I guess it's possible that it could be the next day after, I've just never had that. Even with evening purchases they've always arrives the following day for me. Maybe I'm lucky...

Isn't there something about they'll only send to the front of the park if it's x amount of time before closing?

Maybe...but if I bought something that late, I guess I would carry it out myself. Not sure about that. I've never purchased anything late into the evening

I work at home so my birthday never even gets remembered, my kids are so caring

At least they did something. For my 50th my coworkers took me to lunch and got me a certificate for a pedicure. We are a small, and close group though. It all depends on what your work environment is like I think,

I just traded ROL pin to one of the jawas - explained what it was, etc. He (she?) Got so excited, started hopping up and down! Thought y'all would want to know!

Scored an awesomely cheesy Minnie bracelet! Also, Chewie and Kylo Ren both awesome - Chewie was a big highlight!

I just had a wicked thought. What if you pin traded a 'Rumors' pin with someone working on RoL, or a Manager when you see them wandering the park in a pack....they have to trade, right?

I'm getting there! I took care of a lot of things on my running "to do" list this week so that I won't have to worry about any of it while we're on vacation or immediately after we get back. I haven't started packing yet like I intended to do by now, but will get that done tonight. I at least have a list and a few piles of "vacation stuff" gathered together. Tomorrow night we're dropping our puppy off with friends and having dinner with them, and our flight leaves early Saturday morning. Before work and school this morning, DD and I were looking at some of our pictures from our first trip last year and that got us really excited. I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas! Even without ROL, we have so many fun things planned! (And without ROL, I'll get to watch the season premiere of Game of Thrones when it airs since we'll finish our AK day by 4:00 or 5:00!)

So true! I remember the biggest traveling without/with children contrast I had...

I visited NYC frequently since I was old enough to travel by myself -- always with one carry-on. DH and I stayed in our favorite NYC hotel soon after being married -- brought a carry-on each -- period. The next time we visited this same hotel it was with our infant son AND our little dog, and let's just say that we filled up the whole elevator just with our stuff!! LOL!!
