On-property guests get the magic bands for free. If you are not staying on-property, you can purchase them from the Disney Store and link them to your tickets using the MDE app.

*grumbles* Well that's an extra added expense. Since we're doing away with our MYW Package, guess we should pick out snazzy versions of Magic Bands then. Still, boo.

I'd heard that this is commonplace for June (8PM close). There's no way that 8PM would be accommodating the nighttime activities as the sun is still up in the sky at that time.

I believe AK closed at 5:00 last June when we were there, but cannot confirm. We left the park well before that.

I was able to find the calendar. No days closed at 5. 7 seems like the median hour of closing, but I do see a few 8's rolling through those days.

I've never had a problem; friend should be fine.

No. Underwire bras aren't an issue with airport security anymore. They are all good.

Just flew this last week - we go TSA-Precheck though, and no problems with "wires" but the buckles on my sandals set it off, so I had to take them off anyway. And for some reason, the last 4 out of 5 trips through TSA, I have been "selected" for additional scanning. With this kind of luck, maybe I should buy a lottery ticket!

Super OT but I know many of you are DVC members. My DH and I are considering buying while we are there next week. We are curious how long after signing the paperwork are we eligible for the perks such as buying DVC AP's? I know you get a membership number and what not but is there a lag in perks?

Thanks! It closed at 6:00 the day we were there (6/13). I do see 8:00s on that calendar, so I stand corrected.

For those who are there now, how are the bag lines? If you get there early, can you get thru them faster? I would rather not have to bring one, but I am seeing they are making you empty your pockets too.

Honestly the bag check lines haven't been a problem at all. I was also chosen for the extra screening yesterday, and I just put my bag in a bin and walked through the metal detector. There was no one in front of me so it only took a second.

While Im excited for ROL, I'm definitely more excited for the later hours, fun night activities, and night time versions of rides. While they arent flashy headline grabbers, it seems like those things will have a much bigger impact on how much fun we have.
