Rumors of Light (ROL discussion thread)

This video is awesome!!! Still curious what is summer 2016???

Question for the group- I'm going June 20-27 and my FP selection is this week. I've decided to have Fp for the afternoon since we are park hopping. Im not sure how to Fp for Epcot and animal kingdom since so many things are in the air. We are doing two Epcot evenings and I'm hoping to get soarin or FEA For those days. Should I pick things I want during the times I would place those rides? What should I do? I didn't think I'd be worried but now that the window is literally around the corner and no announcements I am starting to become more worried...
I'm in the same boat.

We're going the same week! I'll be there Wednesday night with DH getting the FPs booked. I was thinking to just book Dinosaur for AK, and then if RoL FP are released, to replace that one.

I'm going to do the same for Epcot: book Test Track and then hope to switch to Frozen or New Soarin' when they are announced.
We do our FP's next week also. We plan on booking KS, EE, and KRR . If they have it open for the sunset safari we will just change the KS for that and get a dining package for ROL hopefully.

Ok here's the tip on that. Re-assign the MYW ticket to a phantom for when you want the AP to be used. Then, re-assign the ticket back to your DS when you are ready for it to be used. I'm fairly certain I'm explaining this correctly but I'm going to tag @hiroMYhero to correct me if I'm wrong here.
@tinkerhon ~ to keep your pre-booked FPs intact, create the phantom (DS#2) and reassign the ticket to phantom son before you enter a park those first 3 days. At some point during that day, reassign the ticket back to real DS.

Repeat for day #2 and #3 and then leave the 6-day with real DS for the remainder of your trip.

Alternatively, create DS#2 and link the 6-day there. You won't have to reassign it back and forth but you will need to have DS use the plastic ticket to enter the park and FPs lines for those 6 days of usage.

Interesting! Between this and the Tumor of ROL being available for the press tomorrow I wonder if soft openings are coming soon?

Part of me hopes so, but part of me hopes not! I have less than a week to go and I just re-finalized our plan for our AK day, which has us leaving the park around 4. I won't hang around hoping to catch a soft opening, but I'll be a little disappointed if I hear later that we could have gotten a glimpse of the show that was supposed to be ready by the time we got there.

Only thing I've heard about is a media preview for Summer Awakens. @yulilin3 what have you heard?
Other than the media preview nothing at all on RoL. DHS media preview is today, they have a dessert party at Indiana Jones theater at 8pm followed by reserved viewing of Symphony in the Stars and then access to Launch Bay and STafter the park closes
Tomorrow it's Epcot in the morning then viewing of SWaGFFA and Phasma's March at DHS
In the afternoon/evening they go to AK for AK nighttime offerings preview, no word if it's a full show of RoL or a sneak peek

So you're a pessimistic optimist? :rotfl2:

I bring a small basket for personal items like tooth brush and make-up for storing on the shelf under the sink or on the closet shelf in the resort room. Keeps the clutter down, and also use it in my suitcase and it helps keep stuff from getting squashed. Otherwise, not-so-unconventional stuff is plenty of wine and snacks for the room - the room it takes in the suitcase going down is freed up for souvenirs coming home.

We are planning a fall trip and my eyes perked up when I saw that you pack wine. May I ask how you get it down safely? My thought was to buy a box or two and put them in XL zip loc bags. Any thoughts on that? Thanks and enjoy your trip!

I have a lot of pages to catch up on - I've been swamped at work and getting ready for Disney.

I just wanted to share my excitement that there's only 1 MORE SLEEP!!!!! I finished our matching shirts and now starting to pack. Even without ROL I cannot wait to be there!!! Hope to run into some fellow loungers :drinking1
