Rumors of Light (ROL discussion thread)

Seriously, what were we thinking? Is it tomorrow afternoon yet?
I'm so excited for you both! WOOHOO, DISNEY! I hope you have a great time!

Will you visit us for 10 minutes during the day while you're there?

Reminds me of the flying monkey scene in the Wizard of Oz; all he needs is the little hat and the suit. Those monkeys scared me more than the wicked witch!:scared1:

Oh my gosh, I never made that connection. That may be why I was so drawn to this photo. Maybe it wasn't RoL after all. You see I am a lifelong Wizard of Oz fan, more like Wicked Witch fan and adore those monkeys. Decades of obsession with flying monkeys.

AND this is my facebook profile picture .................. (and it's one of many like it)......

O my goodness, I can certainly identify. There are moments when I wish I had some flying monkeys to unleash. Love this!!

Soooo, just got a text from my daughter's bestie's mom - she just booked a flight to FL for Sun through Thursday and she is going to go "go to Disney for a couple of days!" (???) She wants us to go to her hotel and hang by the pool, but I kinda already have plans - though I do try to remain fluid... Anybody know if she does a 1 day ticket to MK, can she add on a Water park or is it just two 1 day tickets, if that makes sense. That would work better for us but not sure if she'll go for it...

I could be very wrong about this, I am no ticket expert, but I believe you can add the water park and fun option to a one day ticket.
Knowing how much planning goes into a Disney trip, I feel for you. This has happened to us, and we had to tell our last minute friends that we had plans already in place, but we offered to meet them for dinner one night. This was the least disruptive option for us, and it worked out well.

I don't know the answer to your question, but there's no way I'd be making much effort to adjust my plans for her/them. I would probably say, "That's great that you're going to be at Disney the same time we are! We have a pretty busy schedule, but here are our plans. Let me know if you'll be able to join us any day." Or I would simply tell her that you could meet up with them for a few hours/dinner/lunch on a certain day. Since she just made her reservations, her schedule should be wide open...unlike yours that's been diligently planned for months. But that's just me. :)

I don't have an answer to the ticket question but I do hope you don't bother to "go to her hotel and hang by the pool". Continue on with your carefully made plans, please.

I assume they are holding reservations back. I have seen chunks open up after the 180 day mark (BOG and Via Napoli to name two) so I assume this is a fairly common thing.
Assume the same. This is what they do at Candlelight Processional restaurants before the packages are released.
