Rumors of Light (ROL discussion thread)

In 2013 I was waiting to check into my ADR at Via Napoli & ran into a guy I went to elementary (primary) school with but hadn't seen since then because his family moved cross-country. It really IS a small world after all!

Very small indeed.
Back in the day, when they had a parade in the World Showcase, we had a window seat at Nine Dragons in China. I saw a high school band march by from my old home town, and lo and behold I saw my old school friend, who I had not seen in years, following along behind the band; her son was a band member. Over the years, I have heard many similar stories. Disney, crossroads of the universe!

Changed my avatar to me and Mr. Floatingbear in case I run into some fellow April travelers - but picture us with ROL shirts and tees!
I absolutely love that he is "in" for wearing the tee's! I can't even get DH to wear a Disney shirt. :( Hopefully he catches the Disney bug this trip & it's happily ever after from there!!

Us too. 5:45 am flight. :crazy2: What was I thinking?!
I keep checking for "deals" to add an extra day before our trip begins, even though we'd just be driving down when DH got home from work and sleeping there... and then we'd have to move over to the cabin at Ft Wilderness. I just want to get to Disney as soon as possible!:rotfl: I'm suspecting that maybe you were thinking, "AS EARLY AT DISNEY AS POSSIBLE!"

;)

My mom, dad, and little brother went on a Disney cruise last year. I don't remember which restaurant this happened in, but they were seated for dinner and waiting for their drinks when my dad looks over. Who was sitting next to them? Good friends that they had fallen out of contact with 15+ years ago (ahhh, the age where losing someone's phone number might mean you never speak to them again :P) !

Now is the time in the packing process in which I waffle between "I am really on top of things! I have it TOGETHER!" and "Oh no! I'll never get us ready in time!"

This is about the same time when I find myself thinking..."Will Chewie prefer my Leis's mortal state tee, or the new one with the retro Star Wars characters, featuring him?" :chewy:

Also the same time when I let go of leaving my house in pristine condition, and accept that I am like Frankie Heck in the Middle and if neighbors check on the house they will think it was ransacked...

And still, it is the time in the packing process in which I must have my itinerary handy (as if it isn't etched in my brain), as I cube up my clothes so I can match t-shirts to parks...
LOL! I felt like I was the only one who wracked my brain trying to get everyone into matching shirts - both a new all matching each other shirt for the current trip, coordinating or matching colors on other days, and ones with characters corresponding to characters we might meet at meals or in parks!! :earboy2: Don't think it will fly this time around as DS11 only wants to wear "silky" shirts - and I don't think I can iron-on to those! Oh well, he'll be stuck with wearing at least 2 new cotton ones - an orange one for the Halloween on the High Seas and the other one which will somehow match with the whole gang though we each picked a different color (haven't quite figured out what we'll do for that one yet).

Right now I'm watching The Park Hoppers. I think they just went in March so it's really current! There's also an MK tour that I really like by iThemeParks. You?

I enjoy Tim Tracker a lot for quirky, SeeYaReelSoon (but you must be ok with sappiness), and lately added Disney at Heart, Tom and Sophie, and Ellie Steadman to the rotation - the last couple are UK based which is kind of interesting, and they take long trips so there are more videos!

I'm about to go check out your suggestions :)

Fun...more suggestions! I watch SeeYouReelSoon also. Yes, sappy, but so cute...and a genuine love for WDW!!

Oh, I love them! I just feel like they probably aren't for everyone :P

I'm super excited because tomorrow is my day off and it's my designated "podcast day." Going to catch up on them tomorrow and the new Dis podcast!

I subscribed! I have 51 days after today. I watch the vlogs when I'm walking on the treadmill. I am set for awhile! Thank you!

That's super awesome. Talk about keeping your eye on the prize!

For sure! As a matter of fact, he is in Technology Club at school and he really wanted to got o the Technology Fair that our school district has every year, so he chose ... MINECRAFT! Which he had never played and didn't really know anything about until he began working on the project in January. Well, the prize in this case wasn't being awarded 1st, 2nd or 3rd place ... it was completing the entire project (from scratch; there wasn't so much as a brick on the ground the day he started working on it) in less than 4 months so that he could present it to the judges. He honestly didn't care if he won, he just wanted to BE there.

He always has an end goal ... I love it!
