Rumors of Light (ROL discussion thread)

He's beautiful! Thank you so much for sharing a pic of him.

You know, being the Rolfe baby should get him a perk or two from Disney. I want to see a picture of him posing with one of the animal floats!

QUESTION. Serious question. No really, serious.

Since I've never hung around a monster thread before .... they just haven't held my interest until now .....

Does something happen when we hit 500, like is that maximum capacity?

They shut us down and charge a modest fee ($149) to begin a new thread.

And that is per person ... silly Loungers ... thinking you'do get another monster thread for free :sad2:

I buy the Target gift cards (15% off with the red card) then deposit them in my Dis Vacation Account. Then I use that to pay off the trips, tours, etc , and they will give you a bonus of $20 for each $1000 you spent. I know there are some who have this down to a science, (it's called "churning" and is the subject of a whole lengthy thread...) but this is as far as I go with it. I just got a bonus gift card for $80 I would not have had from DVA, for using those funds I had accumulated there for our upcoming trip. Not a TON of money, but every bit helps!!
I have the red card debit so it's only 5% off for me but I planned to buy at least $1000 worth. So how did you get the $20? From using the Disney vacation acct? Maybe I need to set one up....

Can someone please explain the RoL show to me? Is it like Fantasmic where you have to do the dinner package to watch, or is it like Wishes and Illuminations where you just show up for a seat?

I'm not the OP but the $20 gift card comes from spending $1000 from your vacation account. I also think the 15% may be a typo, no target card gives you more than 5%, unless it's like an employee discount or something?

In an effort to continue to talk about nothing and keep this thread snowballing, while staying on topic .... no offense to those experiencing snow....

We do have to incorporate animals into our event ..... and factoring in security bag checks .....

How about FINGER PUPPETS ?!?!?!

I can just picture all of us running back and forth with our glow sticks and finger puppets. :rainbow:

It is a bit unknown but suspected that you will need to be in the seating area to see the full show. You may be able to observe or hear from places around the venue but it would be a back and/or obstructed view.

Just to clarify, you don't HAVE to have a dining package or FP to watch Fantasmic. You can just show up as well providing there are seats
At F! yes. At RoL? Maybe, maybe not. Even that is unknown at this time.
Though I do think it's likely it won't be 100% dining packages. How much is left after FP are offered is the real unknown
