I'm joining ROL watch as well. My trip is in August. Between the new Frozen Ride, ROL, new Soarin' ride, Star Wars fireworks and now MNSSHP I feel like there are so many moving parts to deal and yet NO DETAILS! I can't imagine how frustrating this is for all of you going soon!

Hi all - coming out of lurking... I've been following along and hoping for weeks for the release of some kind of information about the ROL dining or a Tiffins opening... now that I'm on spring break I will be a little obsessed... our trip isn't until August but a girl has to plan!


After my DD5 did BBB a year ago, we saw the Tremaine sisters and Lady Tremaine walking around the carousel - DD ran up to them to show off her princessness that she got from BBB - the loved on her and took us all for a ride on the carousel - it was awesome! They were so funny! Such a great memory!

I love that! Stories like that make me teary I read a thread about Lady Tremaine and the step-sisters recently (sadly right before they took Lady Tremaine out of the park) and people were telling their stories - very funny!

Hopefully by August planning for ROL will be a piece of cake...maybe?

Quick off topic question. I am picking my fast passes soon and I am curious, can you only chose hourly as in 9am etc etc .. OR can I choose like 9:30 etc etc.

All the parks are good so far but I am having an issue with animal kingdom. Trying to see lion king and memo, picking those times, and mixing my three fast passes in are stressful lol.

Only plan to be at animal kingdom till 2-3 the latest. Opens at 9

I don't feel the need for the fast passes at epcot later in the day. I am sure ill scoop something after i use my morning 3.

Was thinking Dinosaur rope drop. FP everest at 10, see lion king at 11, FP rapids at 12, see nemo at 1, then fast pass safari at 2..

Yes, so far our AK day starts in Africa where we see the Lion King, then have fps for the Safari an hour later. Lunch at Tusker House, then we move to Asia for the Kali River Rapids. DGD3 and I will see Flights of Wonder while they do the Rapids. On to the train. Next we move around to Expedition Everest, where half our party rides, and half go to meet Mickey and friends. Moving clockwise we'll se Nemo, and last Dinosaur. We also have a backup Tusker House dinner afterwards, in the event ROL ever offers its packages. Of course, all of this will change when they open up the later hours, but that's the streamlined plan for now.

Well, this thread is wonderful! I have been reading but really did not have much to add. But as I listened to my iPod last night, I started laughing as I changed to meaning of a Billy Joel song lyrics:

"We're all carried along by the "River" of dreams".

Highlighting the word River that maybe we have all just dreamed the whole thing (although for some it is practically a nightmare). But then I read the thread to catch up and realized we are all waiting to meet at the River.

Since hootenanny used to be a musical gathering, maybe one of today's topics could be songs about rivers. Just a thought.

Or parodies, like:
Old man "River" that old man "River"
They must know something',
But don't say nothin',
I'll just keep checkin', keep on checkin' the blog!

Sorry I just talked to a very nice CM who checked and rechecked. Nothing yet. I was told yet again how sorry she was and yes they were supposed to be released back on the 15th. She had no idea why it got pushed back and told me to keep checking the blog and calling back.

Has anyone ever asked a CM if they ever push these requests upwards? Just curious is all. Seems like a good topic if you have a particularly chatty CM.

Something like: "Thanks for checking to see if something was available. Hey, just out of curiosity, do you push these questions/feedback upwards? I've called several times about this future offering."

I'd just be interested what their response was, that's all.

I had a dream that the new park hours were posted, when I refreshed the page the hours were in bold yellow print and AK closed at 2am, I ran into my sister's room and we went on my computer in the living room, when we went to pick FPs ROL was there and there was a bar with a percentage of how many FPs had already been claimed (like amazon's deal pages), it was over 50% so we picked one for the first show and then went back to the safari and Everest to move them out, then I woke up and looked at the clock and it was 6:30 so I had a white rabbit "I'M LATE" moment and ran out to my computer, nothing *sigh* haha it was a great feeling while it lasted, I went back to bed in a huff and didn't go back to sleep since my alarm was meant to go off in 20 minutes anyways

Trip starts Apr 23. I think we passed the exit for frustration 2 weeks ago, I'm on the Thruway to madness now. Damn road keeps getting more and more congested, by the looks of it.

If I were you, I'd wait and do Kali on the way out. There's great potential to get soaked, and you won't want to be wet sitting in the Nemo theatre. Brrrr

I missed the 300 pages flip

I will share thought what I have decided I will NOT do for ROL. Last year I happen to be at the 24 hr party at DL by "accident" (trip was planned way before it was announced). So around 1pm I get this special event cupcake at Casey's (it was huge, delicious and the very last one they sold). I sat down on the curb in the hub on the Adventureland side to eat because it really was the only open place to sit. Repeat: it's 1pm. First family sits down next to me and asks - is this where the parade is going to be. I said no, the parade goes around the hub the other side. They thank me and get up. And I think, have I missed an announcement for some afternoon parade? Gotta check on that. Not a minute later another family sits down. Same spiel. No, the parade route is in the other side. This happened like 4 times and I'm so confused about how I could have missed a parade. Just a reminder: it's 1pm. So there comes a young couple and sits down next to me. This time I proceed to tell them the parade route is on the other side before they ask. The girl smiled and said, yes, she knows, she's a CM. She just got off her shift. I then tell her people have been asking me about the parade route and have I missed an announcement for an afternoon parade. She just laughed and said no, they were all asking about Paint the Night at 10pm. She tells me people had been camping out on Main Street since the 6am opening for the 10pm parade. I am having nightmares this is gonna happen to ROL as well...

But hey, I will not camp out from opening at 9am for a 9pm ROL showing. But apparently there are enough crazy people who would. That scares me.

Yikes - I am not sure what we'll do on 4/22 - I've been giving it a lot of thought since things have been looking so dim for a "secured" viewing. You're definitely giving me more to think about! We don't get there often enough to invest the whole day like that, but we may want to go in and do what we can and just "enjoy the night". My FPs are booked in AK for the afternoon - I've been hoping at least to modify one for an evening safari but no luck yet. It may be a game time decision depending upon how the rest of the week goes...
