Rumors of Light (ROL discussion thread)

Here's a question: is this show really going to run 3 times per night? During the summer, it gets completely dark by let's stay 9 PM. Even with a park closure at midnight, will they really fit 3 shows with 5,000 people migrating in and out of the theater in between? Unless each show is only 10 minutes long... :crazy2:

I thought I read somewhere that the ROL show will only be about 15 minutes long.

  • Hi Everyone!

I know you all are so excited that this incredible theme park will be transitioning to a day-to-night park! It’s going to be amazing and I’m just as excited as you! Park hours have not been posted yet but the nighttime entertainment and activation is planned for April 22. Specific hours will be determined very soon. Please, don’t stress out and stay tuned!

Rivers of Light will be shown two to three times nightly, so everyone should be able to get a chance to see it when they are visiting the park. And while the Harambe Wildlife Parti will have the flavor of Harambe Nights, it will be available to everyone with regular park admission. No extra ticket is needed.

I hope this helps to answer some of your questions. There will be so much more information coming out soon!

Well we can probably do a good guess using the preview event info.

830 is the first show and 945 is the second. If it's approximately a 20 some minute show, that means they're giving it about 45 minutes to get reset.

So if they wanted 3 shows the third would start around 11.
Where is the preview info?

Between Raquel's blog post and a couple of small tidbits from yesterday, at least a few things have become a little more concrete ...

What we know (I think!!!)
1. It WILL all start April 22
2. There WILL be 2 or 3 showings of ROL a night
3. Most of the park will be open at night (incl. the Safari, Kali Rapids, EE and the dinosaur area)
4. Confirmed not to be open are the 2 walking trails and Rafiki's Planet Watch

What we don't know (even at 204 pages)
1. When Dining Packages can be booked
2. What the Dining Packages will look like
3. What the new AK hours will be
4. When FPs for ROL will be available.
5. What "Coming Soon" actually means because I haven't a clue at this point.

EDIT: I left out that some details about the Preview Packages for April 15, 16 and maybe 17 having been posted on the HUB and are listed in post #3889 BUT no info about WHEN you guys can try booking those though capacity for each looks reasonably high.

Finally something, not much but something

Nope. And I have no idea why. I guess he doesn't have any idea either but he will not go on POTC. He's my little wuss...

DS11 is so much in love with HP at the moment he just wants to go and visit Hogwarts and Diagon Alley.... I think I could leave him there for the whole day and he'd be over the moon! I think if I told him TWD was right next to HP in Hollywood, he'd probably not want to go there  I'd really really like to see that TWD attraction though. I am too chicken to do Universal's Horror nights but I think I could do that. Well... maybe... I don't know. I had to leave the Mummy haunted house that used to be at Universal Hollywood years ago because it scared the **** out of me when one of the mummies reached out of us. Almost had a heart attack. Oh wait, now I know why my DS11 is such a wuss

Haha, well to be fair my family STILL gives me grief because I was terrified of Splash Mountain (and the Haunted Mansion, but that's another story). We were on the train at Frontierland. It was LEAVING THE STATION and they wanted to do Splash Mountain. I was practically crying because I didn't want to, but finally said sure. So we jumped off the MOVING train and went to Splash. It turned out to be my favorite ride of the trip.
