Rumors of Light (ROL discussion thread)

I had to call about another ADR I have booked, so I figured I'd ask about RoL too. Sigh.

I spoke with a lovely CM named Maggie. Maggie sounded like she was about 102. She had never heard of Rivers of Light and wondered if perhaps I meant World of Color, because her daughter and grandkids just saw that and it was wonderful! I told her that no, WoC was at Disneyland, RoL was at Animal Kingdom, and I was curious about dinner packages for the show. She said she thought she might have gotten an email about that, but she "often has trouble with emails." Then she asked if she could put me on hold and promptly hung up on me.

I love Maggie.

I'm a happy camper today nevertheless. I rebooked our hotel for our upcoming trip and saved as much as it would cost all of us for the RoL dining package at TH. So yeah, we will most definitely do this (as if I wasn't serious about this before )

Oh dear Maggie seems to know how to handle all the RoL hype!!!

I'm a happy camper today nevertheless. I rebooked our hotel for our upcoming trip and saved as much as it would cost all of us for the RoL dining package at TH. So yeah, we will most definitely do this (as if I wasn't serious about this before )

Maggie sounds delightful! And as much as I'd love chatting with her when the answer is truly that it's NOT open for booking, I'd have to exercise tremendous patience if it DID open, and when I called in I reached Maggie. As lovely as she sounds. My nerves couldn't take it at this point!

I got her yesterday when I was trying to make a BBB reservation. I specifically told her I wanted castle location and what dates. She sounded very nice but it was painful, she listed all events for every day...pirate cruises, tea parties, etc. And then when she asked me what time of day I wanted and I said I wasn't picky she only told me the first available for each day and that it was only at Disney Springs. It took me an hour on the phone so check like 4 days lol. I called back later last night and another CM took about 15 minutes to check every day of my trip. I'm sure Maggie is lovely but I definitely need lots of time and patience if I get her on the line

Maybe Maggie is just tired about calls about RoL and is just trolling everyone who calls in at this point.

I will say though, when I was once in an uber hurry to book an ADR I got the living embodiment of Roz on the phone. Could have died with frustration. Looking back it's funny

Maggie was certainly very sweet, and I got the impression when she brought up her daughter and grandkids that she was planning on starting a whole new conversation about them, I had to sort of jump in and reroute her.

Either way no closer to any actual information!
