Rumors of Light (ROL discussion thread)

Tusker House isn't too bad. We currently have an ADR there as it's our usual character meal. If I can combine our character meal and the Fantasmic package we usually get to a character meal ROL package, I'd be more than happy!

Sorry guys. Hope the info was legit!

Please do not apologize. You are gracious enough to try to give out information to help other folks. Your information is consistent with information that I received this past weekend from a CM who was reading me an e-mail she received. See my post #763 in this thread. I could tell she was clearly reading something because at one point the message was poorly written and she said "what, what are they saying" then read that part again word for word to me several times.

That being said, Disney is known to do things differently -- earlier or later -- than when they say, even when they announce it publicly versus just to their employees. So I still check daily, okay who am I kidding hourly and sometimes more. If you don't, you do so at your own peril, ie, all those folks who waited until 6am to book BOG breakfast on the day they announced ressies would be available and they opened around 2:30am because IT got them loaded into the system faster than they anticipated.

Your information about TH being the only dining package option seems new from what I learned. Although there were definitely parts of the message that the CM didn't read to me because she was going "yada, yada, yada . . . " and would then pick up reading again. This might explain why a much earlier poster (who showed a screen shot of TH dining package) showed breakfast, lunch and dinner as a dining package option. Disney World generally does not do breakfast package options (Fantasmic, Candlelight Processional, etc.).

Someone on the Coronado Springs FB page just posted this. Don't know where they got their info from.

"Supposed to start April 22 with premier soft openings the weekend before at $50+ per person with drinks and snacks. March 11 is when it goes live on MDE. Yeah, I'm a stalker, we lave the 23rd so I'd love to get us in!"

They probably got it right here. That's a summary of what's posted all over this thread, which came from a post (also linked in this thread) from the Dibb site

im so glad actually that they are not doing it on the 18th of April because i would be going nuts waiting. - we booked a fabulous signature dining and an early night at the resort (the poly) .... but its fun to watch along with you all! But Why are they saying preview on the 17th and not 18th ?! lol gah!!!! Disney is killing me with this planning in April!!!

I see the special activities dining for MK is not clickable yet either. I bet they are going to have a dining package for Wishes to be able to stand in the FP area since they have canceled FP for it

I had never heard of the Dibb before a couple of people mentioned it on this site. I went and looked around and found this thread which has a lot of detailed information about ROL dining packages. RTeetz, if you know them not to be reputable please feel free to let us all know before people start reposting this elsewhere. The last thing I want to do is spread misinformation.

It's going to be pretty disappointing if they only open dining packages for May 1st. I'll have my daughter there on April 25th, but we're off-site so we wouldn't be able to book FP until March 26th. If they start FP booking on the 11th, I doubt we'll be able to get one.
The good news is that I'm on site solo in May and can see it then, and will be back onsite with dd in August. So I can't feel too sorry for myself.

In viewing the ROL threads etc.. am I correct is this just like the World of Color at Disney? I mean with animals projected on the water sprays instead of Disney characters (although I am sure there will be some :tigger:). I like to refer to it, (for those of you who have been to Vegas) " the Bellagio fountains on crack". It's a must do so so cool

I didn't read through all the pages but the info on the first post has been posted here on the DIS...so that's not new. Was there other updated posts with different info?

I was over there checking things out yesterday, and didn't see anything that hasn't appeared in this thread -- either "directly" from DIS, or reposted from Dibb.

I haven't looked today, though...

And this was my first time checking out Dibb so can't speak to whether the site is any more or less reputable in terms of what people generally post than DIS is! I'm sure others here can...
