Rumors of Light (ROL discussion thread)

DH who is not a fan for buy dinner packages (ie Fastamic dinning package) told me when it is available to make sure we get one LOL! I will keep waiting and watching :)

I think that I am going to use it as an opportunity to beat traffic and get use to daylight savings time, which is coming up.
I have to get up before/by 6am for work (depending on weekday) so I'll do it tomorrow but I won't do it on the weekends. My kids do usually get me up by 7:30 (8 if I'm real lucky) so I'll check then but it'll be next week (after looking tomorrow) that I'm up by 6 again.

I won't be waking up by 5am CST on the weekend either:) They probably won't release it then anyway. I don't think I have heard of them doing that before.

I feel the same way--I've been looking for FP+ and ADRs, but it seems pretty unlikely we'll see either before we see AK park hours extended (and perhaps even showtimes for ROL listed). Maybe I'm thinking too logically for Disney, but I think the park hours have to open up beyond 6:30 before FPes can be available past 6:30. I hope we see some changes early next week, but I'm not holding my breath. At least this means more time to figure out where ROL is going to fit in the beautiful plan DP and I have made for our short Disney trip! (of course, fitting something new and exciting in is a pretty great 'problem' to have!)

This has happened in reverse in some cases in the past -- some evening event released for booking before park hours were extended. Who knows what'll happen this time, though!!

I've not got anything again. Guaranteed the day I don't check it will be released and I'll miss out but getting fed up now!

Has anyone else noticed that the website seems particularly stable lately? I don't remember having a single problem while looking for the ROL package.

If it makes you feel better, but don't blame me if this turns out to not be true, I don't think that it is going to be released at 6am EST. None of the new packages or restaurants that I have booked or been reading about in the past year have come up at 6am EST. They have either started at midnight (just one I think) or after they were announced on the Parks Blog, sometimes hours after due to technical issues.

Not today, not on line, and the placeholder is gone on the computer. Might still be on the app but I am already done stalking Disney for the day. 50 days to go no time to sit in front of a computer I have to whip this middle aged body into Disney touring shape!!!

Question: Does anyone think that ROL will be able to be viewed WITHOUT a fp or dining package? I know I will be there on the first week, so it will be crowded as heck, but I'd like to think we would be able to see some of it if we all had patience without a special pass? To me the seating area and the maps look like visibility will be very limited if you don't get some sort of pass.

I wonder what the chances are they'll release this Sat or Sun?

I have not heard of one in the last year or so ever being released on Saturday or Sunday. If it makes you feel better, I don't plan to look for it over the weekend, except to check the ROL threads, but no early mornings or late nights for it.
