The dining page is down again!
false alarm, maybe they just had to raise some prices![]()
Whatever eases some of the stress; I empathize, to be sure!!I will just share that I've never had an issue overwriting one ADR with another -- it's usually a very quick step. I TOTALLY believe that it can happen here and there, but I've booked MANY ADRs over the years and have not had a problem since they added this feature to MDE. (KNOCK ON WOOD!!!!!)

Ooooooh... Good one!!! You know, I just might currently have this setup in one of my maybe-plug-in-RoL-package-here slots!!! VERY INTERSTING... Sophie's Choice time...One exception to this. Don't have two ADRs in the meal time you want to put the ROL ADR. I was trying to figure out what to do about our Fantasmic dinner package, saw a 50s PTD ADR show up so I booked it. One ADR at 5:30 and one at 7:30 on the same day. When tried to put a 6:30 ADR in there as my final desired ADR, it cancelled the 5:30 just fine but got hung up on the 7:30 and I had to go back and cancel that first. I realize that's a niche situationbut if you are doing that too, cancel one of them before Fri.

Maybe a niche situation, but glad for the heads up. I'm now realizing that I have multiple Boma reservations for that Sunday 4/17 - the one that preview was rumored to be on. I already had one as we were checking in to the AKL, but decided to make another in case I scored a preview and needed to go to dinner earlier...hmmm...what to do...
But the current rumor is three shows per night, which makes it comparable to two shows of Fantasmic! The real question is whether they'll sell all the seating to dinner packages or FPs or reserve a chunk for standby. The seating is 5000 people. That's small compared to other Disney shows. There's a good chance in the beginning, first few months, that the only seating available may be through dining packages and FP+. Supposedly, because of the layout of AK and the stage placement, viewing from the anything but the stadium seats will be very suboptimal, if you can even get a view at all. Granted, everything is still rumor or up in the air, because we really won't know until it opens. So, that is part of the reason for urgency to get a guaranteed seat. Just like if F! fills up, then you can't see it. For reference, F! seats about 8000 people. Early on, it used to fill up both shows. Now, not so much.
That's just it! I would guess they'll have a section for stand by guests. We'll see though! But the current rumor is three shows per night, which makes it comparable to two shows of Fantasmic! Additionally, F! packages cannot be booked via the app, do would assume the same will hold true for ROL.I would NOT use the app if you have an existing reservation that you might want/need if something goes wrong.
On the computer it holds your old reservation until the new one is confirmed. I have not had the same experience with the app. It will cancel the old ADR before the new one is booked.
I spoke to a cast member this evening. She told me dining packages/fastpasses wont be available until April. To check back mid-April closer to the opening date of ROL. I read on here March 11th? Guess I'll be constantly checking.

Not that this is reliable information at all! But both my DH and I called the dining number on different days to ask about the Preview night for April 15th and we both were told these would probably be able to be booked on March 11th.
I know this is most likely another wild goose chase but I thought I would pass it along anyway.
I so want to be able to go to the preview night on April 15th!!!This trip is to celebrate my 50th Birthday and the 15th is our last night, we fly out on the 16th.
