Rumors of Light (ROL discussion thread)

I saw someone else talk about it ............. it kinda stinks - what if more people show up than that middle section holds. If I am there on my actual day I would not be happy to be relegated to the next section. Are they only selling 1/5 capacity of that middle section each day? I could maybe see the doing it first show only on your day, second show over next 5 days.

Is Fantasmic every night right now? I guess if not the only way to sell the package is do this but I hope they've crunched the numbers fairly.

But hey this will be no news once the ROL Dining Packages open ............. if they can't run this show multiple times a night, what are they going to do? to handle all the folks showing up for standby? Hand out wristbands and tell the rest good night? FINGERS CROSSED it truly can run more than once ...........

I'm really not sure how it all works. Fantasmic! is every night, and I'm not sure how big the seating area is for the package. I assume most people will just go to the show that night since they're already at the park, I would guess the amount going on a different night would be low.

Ok completely :offtopic:, not that we have kept to a topic, But what the heck is Disney thinking?? You don't mess with Louisiana Gumbo

You don't put Kale in gumbo - and gumbo starts with a roux - anything else is soup. LOL
I am at a loss...
If were a recipe from in the Park, it would be easy to explain. That would be the 'standard' Gumbo, with the 'authentic' only available as part of an add on ticketed event or special upcharge to your dining plan.

Is that "wow, I'm so NOT impressed", or "wow, I'm relieved now"... Or just "wow, I'm a horrible actor"...

I can't tell. :)

I think it's "Ummm not only is that Owl's lights not working but I did not see Maui, where's Maui?"

Edited with picture not so fuzzy ... those little things on my phone are so hard to see.

Okay people, break out the Rumors of Light t-shirt for the pre-pre-pre-packing, I am *officially* planning my sister trip for next April! princess:

This is a dancing banana-worthy moment for me!

However, having previously only planned for my own family, who generally are forced to do my bidding, I may be coming to y'all for support from time to time during this planning process! :scared:

I will really need to catch up on all the changes, etc., going on! :surfweb:

Right on Dachsie. We had a good time in the "Venting about Complainers" thread discussing poutine, beignets, and the incredibly funny responses in NOLA chat boards to the great Gumbo Debacle of 2016. :ssst: :jester: hehhehe.

Awesome! We're going in April as well! If the times intersect, it'd be great to meet up for drinks. Happy planning!!! (ADRs in October!)

Awesome! Family trip? We're Easter week, which is tough, but two of my sisters are teachers so we don't have a lot of choice. It's really only because it's Easter week that the two teacher sisters have the same week off - one is in VA and they tend to follow Easter, and the other in MA where it's always the third Monday of April, which just happens to be Easter this year. But I ramble...

It will definitely be different to plan for the four of us than it is for my family! But we haven't done anything like this in many years, so I'm excited!

The only problem is that I'm afraid to tell my kids that I'm going to Disney without them....:rolleyes1

They just extended Animal Kingdoms hours in November! 7pm close scheduled during our stay now :)

1000% off topic, well it is about animals. I just saw this and felt it was too cute not to share.
We must not judge a book by it's cover ... or review ....
